In the black

Good Morning all and welcome to a new week.

Thank you to everyone who popped by to say hello last week, lovely to see you.

So today i am sharing two little thank you cards.  Inspired by a talented craft friend, who's got me addicted to imagination crafts starlight paints, she sent me a jar of the gold for christmas and since then ive added a couple more colours. She also used them on the black and got my ideas going, so thank you friend😊

The photos don't really do the shimmer justice.

First i painted the thistle die cut (tattered lace i think, was sent to me by another generous friend), these paints dry super fast so no hanging around waiting for paint to dry.  I stamped the sentiment with the paints too, just to see if it would work, best way to get used to a new product i think is to play, some ideas work, some don't, but you are learning as you go
.  Using black card for the base and layer, edged with gold starlights too.  Size approx 3x6"

Trying to show the light hitting the starlights.  I added a touch of the red paint to the blue to get the purpley thistle colour, the colours blend well together to create new colours.

Version 2, again die cuts sent to me, i think they are memory box, just checked and they are actually simon says stamp, but this would work with any flower die cut

I tipped the blue flowers with the gold to add interest and how the light does hit the petals on flowers.

So if you've been looking at these starlight paints, id say go for it, they are lovely to work with👍

Items used:  Imagination crafts 'starlights' - 133 red, 134 blue, 135 green, 136 rich gold

Thank you for stopping by and taking a peek.  Wishing you all a good week. Emma

  15. Beautiful cards Emma, I'm a huge fan of Starlights as well, they have such a stunning effect and photos never do the colour and shimmer justice. I love the fact that they dry really fast as well, so you don't have to wait long to do second coats if you want to. Hugs - Debs x
