Floral birthday

Good Morning everyone.

With my mojo missing i have joined in a challenge with friends, ive combined two, one was to make a floral card with an aperture and the second to use the colours, tangerine, turquoise & tawny.

I first went through my extensive 6x6 paper pads and found this one with muted shades of turquoise & tangerine which ive paired with kraft card to act as the tawny shade.  Its by My Minds Eye 'Indie Chic - citron'

6x6 Kraft card cardbase. With the spine of the card at the top I then die cut the scalloped edger die to the front panel.  I then die cut the circle burst from the centre.  I lined the insider with a pale yellow paper and rounded all the corners.  I then inked the edges with pale orange ink.  I stamped my sentiment on the inside back panel of the card so that you can see it from the front of the card.

I then die cut several layers of daisy dies from an orange paper and foliage from a blue paper, inked the edges and built up my floral arrangement so its hanging over the edge of the circle aperture.  I die cut a little butterfly from papers in the pad.  Then i just added orange pearls and giltter gems to finish.

Side on view showing it stood up and you can clearly see the aperture.

This shows it side on, really showing the circle burst aperture.  This is 300gsm kraft card so it isn't too flimsy after cutting out the aperture.

Just a close up on my flowers & butterfly.

Items Used:
Memory box large circle burst die
MFT scalloped edger die
Sizzix butterfly dies
Stampin up curly cute sentiment stamp
MME 'Indie Chic - citron' paper pad
Flower & Foliage dies
Kraft Card

Thank you all for stopping by, i shall be around to catch up with your blogs soon. Emmax

  6. Well the challenge must have worked Emma because this card is simply stunning! I so love the color combo, and I am loving those flowers and leaves as well as that beautiful butterfly. The circle die I have been before and wondered how one would use it, now I see and I love how you have used this die. I'd say your mojo has returned very well. Hugs, Brenda
