Good Morning everyone
A birthday card i made for a friends birthday this month, now i know tulips aren't in season in the summer but she is Dutch and loves her gardening so thought this tulip and wellie die would be ideal.
6x5" Green card base. I die cut the tulipwellie die twice from white pearl card, i kept one complete and cut just the wellies out of the 2nd one, i coloured it all with alcohol markers, i love how the pearl shimmer still shines through. I die cut 2 circles, one from a blue paper and larger one from the green card.
I cut a panel to fit from white pearl cardstock and embossed with this lovely tulip embossing folder and i added a little touch of colour with alcohol markers. I cut a small strip of the blue paper and mounted onto a green stripe and added to the base and then added the circle on top. I added my tulips with glue gel. Stamped sentiment to finish.
Just a close up, i love how the alcohol markers on pearl card is softer than on normal white

This is absolutely lovely. What a bright, cheery, wonderful design.
ReplyDeleteIMO, one of the best perks of paper crafting is that we can work with any bloom (or another type of plant) the whole year through, no need to wait until the real deal is in season. Love that!
