Vintage coffee

Good Morning everyone

I am honoured to be starting on the design team at We Love Stamping

and the theme for this month is Vintage.  Slightly outside my comfort Zone but decided to use this fab vintage coffee grinder stamp, using kraft card and a bit of old lace to add to the vintage feel.

5x5" kraft card base with i rounded the corners on.  I took a smaller piece of cream cardstock and again rounded the corners and stamped the image with a dark brown ink, i stamped the image again onto more of the cream and kraft card.  On the cream version i watercoloured the flowers with distress inks and on the kraft version i added a little colour with vintage photo distress ink and a touch of pistachio oxide ink and cut them out. I also stamped and coloured some coffee beans.

On the base image i splattered on some of the inks i used to colour the images, added a strip of kraft card and the lace and adhered to the card front.  I added the flowers and coffee grinder with glue gel for a little dimension.  Added the coffee beans to finish.

Just a close up.  This is a great image with the good morning to say hello to a friend and maybe a catch up over a coffee or two

Items Used:
aall&create stamps 'caffeinated'
Distress inks - wild honey, ripe persimmon, vintage photo
Distress Oxide inks - cracked pistachio fossilised amber
Kraft & cream cardstock
Lace
WRMK corner chomper

  8. So glad you join the team, Emma! Vintage is difficult also for me, but a challenge is always good :) Your card is delightful, a fabulous design with very beautiful details, love so much your watercolouring and those coffee beans, wow, they seem real! Love the lace, the hint of pistachio in the flower centres and the splatters! My grandmother had a similar coffee grinder, such lovely memories. I'm a coffee lover, and need two strong Italian espresso in the early morning to start my days, so this card really appeals to me!
