Seahorses & Flowers

Good Morning all, i hope you all had a good weekend.

Today im sharing another batch of cards that are similar to a design i did before which was popular in my box so just a different theme this time.

6x6 white linen cardblank.  Brusho/pixie powder mix backgrounds, inverted scallop squares left over from another project.  I die cut into them with the memory box collage rings die and then stamped a greeting.  My seahorse is die cut from contrasting inked card, i then embossed the seahorse die into silver rainbow mirri card and cut around the outside, i then slotted the coloured seahorse over the top and glued together.

Opposite colour combo

All the blues,

and on to the flowers

I die cut the tim holtz mixed media dies into the inverted scallop squares and then stamped the greeting.  Flowers made up using stitched daisy dies, die cut foliage from silver rainbow mirri card.

Reds and greens.

and on top little notelet cards

2 little cards. 3.5x6" white linen base. I die cut the white border using spellbinders lonely hearts die set, and then just cut the outside edge die from inked cardstock and off set them slightly.  Die cut sentiments from the same inked card.  I then added viva enamel drops and a white stitched daisy.

The same as above just a different colour combo.  The first outing of the spellbinders die, so just trying it out.

Thank you for stopping by.  Also an apology after Steph (thanks Steph) mentioned comments not always getting through since the moderation is on, so i went investigating and found lots of you in the spam bin😢 - so now ive found a spam bin i will keep an eye on it.  Why it doesn't actually send the true spam (very naughty adult content!!!) comments there i don't know!  I switched on the moderation as got lots of weird messages left with links attached and didn't want any of my followers clicking on a link and something dodgy happening!  So i do apologise those of you who've had to come back several times, shouldn't happen again - hopefully!

I hope you all have a good week and see some sunshine.  Hugs Emma

Mens Birthday DIY theme shutter card

Good Morning all, i hope you had a good weekend.

So its time for another new challenge over at Make My Monday, the theme this fortnight is:

FANCY FOLDS

I made this DIY themed shutter card for my brothers birthday, he is an engineer and often fixing something or other.

Using the tattered lace shutter card die i cut the blank from white card.  Then using the matting dies in the set i cut them from wood panel pattern paper.  I then die cut lots of tools, cogs, nuts from silver holographic card and turquoise pearl card.  I then cut the handles from the tools and glued onto the silver version.

Using mixed alpha dies i cut 'Mr Fix It' from green cardstock.  Id had the landrover decoupaged made up for months and thought this card was perfect as my brother also drives a landrover.

Showing the left hand side of the card, i added the landrover so it looks like its driving out of the card.

Showing the right hand side better.  Shows the colour better.

And the back of the card, i die cut another woodpanel patten paper in a paler colour so that the greeting can be written on easily.  I then added all the left over tools, die cut birthday sentiment.

Items Used:
Tattered Lace Shutter die set
Various tool dies
Papermania Mr Smiths Workshop papers.
Dufex landrover decoupage

So if you fancy joining in and to see the rest of the DT's work just pop over to make my monday

and below is the second card i made for my brother.

Black A5 cardblank, i then matted corrugated metal pattern paper onto copper satin card, added screw top brads to the 4 corners and matted onto the black base.  The robot topper i printed out twice from a daisytrail kit and decoupaged the 2nd one and added glossy accents.  I placed him behind a black glossy cog frame and matted onto copper satin card before adding the the base.

Items used:
Daisytrail Robot Rust digikit
Papermania Mr Smiths workshop papers
Cog frame die
Birthday sentiment die

Thank You cards

Good Morning everyone, i hope you all had a good weekend.

Today i am sharing some thank you cards i made for the lovely Christmas gifts i was given.

This first one i made for my uncle.  Blue card cut to a 5x6 cardblank, i then die cut the memory box circle burst in the middle.  I used yellow spotty paper as the insert to act as the sun.  Then die cut lots of seagulls and a sentiment from white.

Side view so you can see the insert.

Little cat thank you.  Russet card cardbase.  I then stamped and coloured the zinski cat with inktense pencils, i then added a pale sky and grass with watercolour.  Die cut with cross stitch rectangle die.  Glitter glue to finish

Little 3x4" thank you made from leftovers.  I used the dienamics border die on the front, then die cut the flower into the front.  I then backed with a left over peice of purple brusho card, also cut with the same angle die.  I then die cut the flower overlay from orange brusho card.  Greeting stamped in grey.

I loved how this one came out in that the stripes are all little stripes of left over brusho card which i then stuck onto white card to make a new 'paper'.  Only trouble is do i then keep all those little strips of paper now!  Card made in much the same way as the one above.

Now these next too came about completely from wanting to use up left over die cuts i amassed during last year.  The only extra i added was the sentiment.

4.5x5.5" white linen card blank. The inverted scallop square i gently inked in blue distress ink.  I then used a scalloped border die to cut the grass from a scrap of brusho card.  The tree, flowers & rabbits had also been cut from brusho/pixie powder colour cardstock.

and the same as the one above i just swapped the layout to the sentiment above the topper square.

4x4" card base, die cut into a octogan.  This one came about again after finding the die cut viola and octogan in my left overs draw.  Again all coloured with brusho/pixie powder mix.  I added extra the hello and little butterfly.  Gems to finish.

Items Used:
Memory Box dies - large circle burst, darling viola flower, stitched octogens,
Obsession Impression dies - seagulls, mini rabbits,
Spellbinders dies - de-lites whimsical tree, thank you sentiment, fall foliage,
MFT dies - basic stitched edges,

Simon Says Stamp dies - thank you sentiment

Daisy Birthday Card

Good Morning All, i hope you are having a good week.

So today im sharing the birthday card i made for my mum.  Lots of handmade daisies.

Using Sue Wilson Nobel die i die cut a shaped card from white pearl card.  I then die cut the fancy frame also from white pearl card, backed with a pale green daisy pattern paper.  Stamped sentiment mounted onto a gold oval.

I then layered up my daisies with gold mirror card foliage.

Close up of the daisies.  I made these using a small daisy die, cutting 2 layers from white pearl card and shaping the petals on a foam mat.  i offset the 2 layers to make a fuller flower. Centre die cut from yellow, edged with a little orange ink and shaped into a dome.  Glitter glue to added texture and sparkle.

So today its the first new challenge of the year at Make My Monday
The theme this time is:

BLUE & WHITE

I also wanted to try out my new stamps.

5x6" Blue cardblank.  I stamped the cat and flowers in colbalt archival ink, doodled in some ground and little extras with a blue fineliner to make a scene for the cat to stand on.

Die cut sentiment to finish.

Happy New Year!

Good Morning all and welcome to 2018.  May it be a Happy & Healthy Year for you all.

I hope you all enjoyed your Christmas.  We had a lovely time.

To kick start the year im sharing this summery card i made for a friend.  Hopefully the warmth of sunshine arrived as she opened it.  Using those wonderful house mouse images.

I first printed the house mouse image off from the cd-rom, it was a little too pastel for me so i added some extra colour using coloured pencils on the flowers only.  I cut out extra mice and decoupaged them.

A5 white card blank.  Patterned paper which i then dry embossed, matted onto gold glitter card and wrapped with pink chiffon.  I made up some daisies using white pearl card and yellow card.  Stamped LOTV centre.

Close up, i added glitter glue to the daisy centres.  After die cutting them i used a ball tool to indent along the centre of each petal.

and below i did a matching chocolate bar wrapper as a little gift.

I first wrapped the chocolate with paper, stamped the sentiment and die cut into an oval, matted onto gold glitter card.  6 little daisies to frame.  These daisies were rather time consuming to make but was rather pleased with them.

Items used:
Joanna Sheen House Mouse CD-Rom
Papermania paper pad - Elements pigments
Derwent Inktense pencils
Spellbinders M-bossibilities EL-005
Heartfelt Aster die set
Daisy die set
LOTV sentiment stamp
