Alice is 9

Good Morning everyone

This week my middle niece Alice is 9 so these are the 2 cards ive made for her.  The first one actually uses the same image i used for her dads card last year - now they are collecting horses and of course there is always a cat or 4 around - its a digi stamp from hetty clare called friends forever

Alices favourite colours are purple & green

approx 7x7" card made from white card with nesting dies.  I printed the image onto white along with the sentiment and coloured with inktense pencils, stencilled horse shoes around with and die cut into shape and adhered to the card front.  I die cut a frame from dark green card and added to the card front with 2mm foam tape

I bought this stamperia stencil with horse & horseshoes - but its so very thin and delicate it was very difficult to use

Just a close up

Now the better weather has arrived the girls love going out on a horse and cart ride with their dad and spend many happy hours seeing the countryside that way.

Items Used
Hettyclare digi image 'forever friends'
Stamperia stencil 'KSG468'
Derwent inktense pencils
nesting dies
Distress oxide inks vintage photo, black soot, fossilised amber

Id love to enter this card in the following:
Alice is a talented gymnast and a little contortionist so i borrowed these gymnast dies from a craft friend

A5 white cardbase.

I die cut the gymnasts from green glitter cardstock and 4 layers of scrap white cardstock which I layered together with the green glitter as the top layer - this gave them a sturdy chipboard depth.  I die cut the letters from purple mirri card and white card and used the white as a drop shadow to help them stand out.

I matted a lilac happy birthday printed cardstock onto purple mirri and then green glitter cardstock and then the card front.  The gymnasts were a bit lost against the background so i tore a piece of vellum adhered my letters and gymnasts to it - i then added tacky pva to the back of the vellum behind the letters and gymnasts and adhered to the card front - that hid the glue holding the vellum in place.

Just a close up - in real life the purple mirri and green glitter really do sparkle and shine

Items Used:
Memory box alpha dies
 gymnast dies
Anna-marie design birthday printed cardstock
papermania white vellum
Green glitter card
Hunkydory purple mirri card

Building block card

Good Morning everyone

Today is a fun fold, my first attempt at a 'building block' card, I found a template on pinterest which was too small for the topper I wanted to use so I just adjust it to the size I wanted.  Ive used these beautiful acetate printed flowers, they have a lovely gold holographic foil which sadly the photos don't do justice too.

Approx card size closed: 7x4.5"      Opened out on display: 7x9"   Full length is 11.5"

I found a paper in my stash in the perfect colour tones as the flowers so matted onto the card base.  On the front panel i matted white card onto of the purple paper so that my flowers really stand out.    I die cut the flower pot from kraft card.  I adhered one of the floral sprays flat to the card and then adhered one onto the insert that goes into the pot so that it can be removed and used as a bookmark.

Showing the building blocks.  I die cut my friends name and happy birthday from white and gold hologaphic cardstock, used the gold as a drop shadow and adhered them into place.

Showing how the 'bookmark' removed.  Its hard to do these acetate floral sprays justice in the photo.

Items Used:
Floral PET/Acetate flowers (ebay find)
Tattered lace alphabet dies
Honey bee stamps - Flower pot die set
Birthday sentiment die
12x12 Patterned paper

Thank you all for stopping by.  I hope you all have a good week. Emmax

Alice Shaker card

Good Morning everyone.

Today im sharing a shaker card i made for my nieces 4th birthday, can't believe Alice is 4, she is growing so fast. Alice's favourite colour is purple so ive used purple mirri card, sadly the photos don't do it justice.

A5 white cardbase. I first started by printing the name Alice direct onto some lilac birthday script cardstock.  I picked a font that would be easier to cut out with a craft knife as i don't have any large alpha dies. Once printed i carefully cut around the inside of the printed line so that it left the outline to help define the word for little Alice to read.

I then backed this piece with acetate and then foam tape, i went around each individual letter with the foam tape. placing this face down I then put different shades of sequins and micro beads into each letter.  I backed this section with lilac cardstock. I then mounted this whole panel onto purple mirri card and added to the base card.

I computer printed the sentiment and age in grey with a black outline onto white card, cut out and mounted onto more purple mirri card.  I then die cut lots of tiny butterflies from the purple mirri card and added around the cardfront.

You can make out the purple better in this one

A close up on the shaker part.  No matter how many shaker cards i make its always a case of either not adding enough shaker bits or adding too many, sometimes i get it just right.  Could have done with a few more sequins in the 'A' but im sure Alice won't notice😀

This is just to show you the font i printed direct onto the lilac card.  In my graphics program serif craft artist i edited it so that i just had a thick outside line and the middle was blank, this made it so much easier for me to hand cut it with a knife, i cut inside the line.  Not being very good with a craft knife i needed it as simple as possible.

Alice's birthday is on Saturday and i have my invite, so looking forward to that.

Items Used:
Anna Marie birthday script cardstock
Mirri card - chocolate box purple
White card craftUK ltd
Memory box mini butterfly dies
Acetate
Shaker pieces - sequins, glitter, micro beads

Thank you for all stopping by and your well wishes, im on the mend.  Mojo not completely returned so ive been having a serious sort out of my craft stash - a job well done i think.  I hope you all have a good week and can keep cool if its hot with you. Emmax

Boys 18th Birthday

Good Morning everyone.  Thank you for all your comments on my wirework attempts, i do appreciate them all and had fun.

Today im sharing an 18th birthday card i made for my godson's birthday a couple of weeks ago.  Not sure where the 18 years have gone since his mum and I brought him home from hospital!

6x6" white basecard. I then added a panel of rainbow coloured paper and stamped the greeting in the bottom right corner.
I then cut a square of white card slightly small again, die cut the scalloped border, then randomly die cut lots of 18's out using number dies, this panel i mounted using foam tape, i then glued the little circles back in the number 8
I cut a panel of white card and stamped his name in black, mounted onto a strip of the pattern paper and added on top with more foam tape. I then used a blue fine liner pen and doodled on a border.

I must have taken the photo on a slight angle as both sides of the name band were equal - looks a bit one sided in the photo!

Items Used:
MFT dienamics scalloped edge die
Memory Box Parker number dies
Kasiercraft grunge alphabet stamps
Stampin up - into the wild set (sentiment)
Poundland paper pad - Happy watercolour

Other funky personal Childrens cards made by me. all making use of an alphabet die set.

Funky, modern Teenage Boy male birthday card, Papermania neon card, circle dies and memory box alpha bet die.
This one makes good use of those circle dies and neon card

Funky teenage birthday card, personalised, alphabet dies, black card, butterflies.
square dies in action and lots of butterflies

Thank you for stopping by. I hope you are all having a good weekend. Emma
