Get well Soon

Good Morning everyone

Today is a little get well card using this happy dog image from aall&create and umbrella stencil from funky fossil which i was lucky enough to win in a challenge

5x7" white card blank.    I inked through the umbrella stencil with oxide inks in a rainbow effect and then die cut into a rectangle, i matted onto grey pearl cardstock die cut rectangle and then the base card.

I stamped the dog onto white card and watercoloured with distress inks, i cut him out & attached to a small white die cut rectangle with glue gel and matted onto more of the grey pearl and added to the base.  Stamped sentiment die cut into inverted scallop circle and added with glue gel.

I added 5 raindrop shaped AB gems to finish to give the effect of falling rain.

Just a close up, you can see the lovely raindrop gems

Rainbow Flamingo

Good Morning everyone.

This fantastic flamingo stamp from Katzelkraft has been on my wish list since i first saw it - one of those i had to have!  Anyway stock finally arrived and she came into my hands just before lockdown.

This is essentially A5 in size but the 2 parts make it the full A5.  So first i stamped my flamingo 5 times in black using my stamp platform and stamped the sentiment.  I then coloured them with oxide inks, adding extra detail with fine liner pens in the same colours to their wings and headdress. I cut to size and stamped some dots around the outside edge with the same inks, rounded the corners and matted onto black.

For the base card its approx 6x6 in size. To the sections that would be seen - the top and bottom edges i added the same inks used to colour the flamingos, then i stamped just the beautiful part of the sentiment all over in grey archival ink.  To finish i mounted the topper panel onto the base.

Glossy accents to their eyes and glitter highlights & a black iridescent gems to the centre of their head dress and by the sentiment to finish.

Side on - you can see how the topper panel overlaps the base card - almost like an artists easel set up.  This came about as once id stamped 5 flamingos that panel was as wide as an A5 card and i wanted to add a colourful background.  Unusually for me not a single die used!

Items Used:
Katzelkraft flamingo stamp
Katzelkraft sentiment stamps
Stampin up Gorgeous grunge stamps
Oxide inks  - picked raspberry, ripe presimmon, twisted citron, peacock feathers, blueprint
Coloured fine liner pens
CraftUK white linen cardstock
black cardstock.

Thank you all for stopping by once again.  I hope you are all doing ok.  Stay safe. Hugs Emmaxx

16th Birthday

Good Morning everyone.  I hope you had a good weekend and saw some sunshine.

Today im sharing a 16th birthday card i made for my god daughter, she isn't really girly girly so couldn't go with pink and flowers.  I decided to go with black and white and splash of rainbow colour.

A5 cardbase.  I matted white linen and black card onto the base card.  I then coloured a piece of white card with oxide inks, starting red one side and going through to blue.  This is die cut into triangles, i die cut the top layer of the triangle set from black card and glued the 2 layers together.

On a strip of white card I arranged the triangles. This panel i mounted onto black.  I stamped the sentiment circle onto white and die cut into a circular frame, i die cut a larger circle from black card.

I first glued the black circle to the base card to the right side, i then added my triangle strip, i then added the white sentiment circle frame over the top with foam tape. So basically the triangle strip threads between to black circle and the sentiment circle - just for a bit of interest.   I computer printed the 16 today and die cut into a circle, mounted onto a black circle and then added to the middle of my sentiment circle. Glitter gems to finish.

A close up.

This second one just uses the opposite colour on the triangles,  so i die cut the top fancy layer from the inked card and glued onto black base triangles.

Made the same as the first one, i just added party time to the middle circle.

This 3rd one actually came about from the lefts overs from the above triangles, i was left with all these little pieces of coloured card so decided to cut some more in white and insert the coloured pieces giving a stained glass like effect. I quite liked this way and a good use of left over snippets!  A bit fiddly though.

6x7 White linen basecard.  After making up my triangles i added them to a strip of black card which i attached to the cardfront.  I stamped the sentiment circle onto white card and die cut into a circle, matted onto a larger black circle and added to the card front.  I added another one of the triangle to the centre of my sentiment.  Glitter dots to finish.

A close up.

Using Words

Good Morning everyone.

Time for the first challenge of the year over at Make My Monday

The theme for the next fortnight is
WORDS
Use Words or a Sentiment

After digging through my stash i found a fabulous sentiment stamp by justrite it says -
May a Rainbow run beside you in a sky that's always blue. And may Happiness fill your heart each day your whole life through.

7x7 scalloped card base.  I first stamped the sentiment onto a yellow patterned paper.  Into a piece of white card i die cut a inverted scalloped circle and kept the 'negative' piece, this i coloured with wink of stella pens in rainbow colours.  I then cut another piece of white card with a circle die to give a bigger aperture window.  This panel i embossed with a flower EF.

All these layers i mounted up with foam tape to sit over each other.  Mounted onto white card and then rainbow mirror card and added to the cardbase. I added yellow wink of stella pen to the middle of the flowers on the embossed panel.  I then added all the ready made flowers and leaves.

Red gems following the curve of the circle in the top left corner to finish.  This is a very bulky card but its also for a special person so they are worth it😊

A close up. I also added a small circle frame of white card to the wink of stella layer to help draw the eye into the sentiment.
