Seahorses

Good Morning everyone

Still on my mission to use up paper scraps from the water themed 'feeling fresh' paper pad from the works.  Here i went for a floating element of adding the strips of paper to acetate and die cutting into a circle.

6x6" card.  I die cut a square and mounted onto blue card and then the base having stamped the sentiment with dark blue ink.  I added my floating circle to the bottom right corner adding foam tape just behind where the paper is.  I stamped the seahorse onto a scrap of previously inked with brusho's card and cut out, gently curved and added to the circle with glue gel.  All the extra stamped starfish & shells were left over from previous projects and lots of yellow/orange gems to finish - again i was using up random left over gems.   The acetate sheet that the gems were on is now in my acetate stash for a future project.

Just a close up, i used white and yellow posca pens to add more detail.

Version 2 & 3, I decided to mount my paper strips onto silver mirror card instead of acetate

6x6" scalloped base card.  Square die cut layered onto silver mirror card so that the mirror shines through the eyelet holes in the frame.  Again seahorse and fish were stamped onto an off cut of card that had been coloured with brushos & pixie powders.  I used another off cut of the papers for a strip across the middle of the card

and version 3

The same but different - more vibrant this time and i added my circle with the strips at a diagonal for a change.  Sea la vie sentiment & fish stamp is from a pink ink stamp set 'diver mouse'

Items Used:
Lavinia stamps 'Sebastian seahorse'
Pink Ink stamps 'diver mouse' wee folk series
Pink ink ' sea turtle' stamp set
Chocolate baroque stamps 'seashell collage'
Sentiment stamps ' old magazine freebie
Tattered lace square eyelet dies
The works paper pad 'feeling fresh'
Acetate
Silver mirror card
CraftUk Ltd White linen card
Blue card

Thank you all for stopping by once again.

Hang in there

Good Morning everyone

Today is a card with aall&create octopus stamp - sadly the photos don't show up all the bling, the background is done with wink of stella pens and i gave it a gilded effect edge.

5x5 cardblank.  I first die cut a square of white card using the eyelet die, then i stamped the octopus in black and added extra stamping using grungy background stamps, mostly sticking to the diagonal.  I then coloured the background with blue and purple wink of stella pens so it really shimmers.  I added little dot stencilling with starlight rich gold paint, i also used the paint to edge the panel to give a nice gilded effect.
I stamped the octopus twice more, on one i coloured the body in oranges and the 2nd one just the hat in green, i then cut them out, gently curved and decoupaged onto the main image.  A little stamped sentiment and green stickles glitter dots to finish.

You can sort of see the shine on the gilded edge - these starlight paints have an amazing shimmer as do the wink of stella pens when the light hits them.  The 'hang in there' sentiment felt apt for the octopus with many 'arms' - its for a friend who is struggling at the moment as are alot of us i think....Im just taking it one day at a time

Items Used:
aall&create stamp - sea life
Various grungy background stamps
Small dots stencil
Imagination crafts starlight paint - rich gold & orange (this is also now called cadence 'dora' paint)
Stickles glitter glue - lime green
Wink of stella pens - blue, purple
Distress inks - twisted citron, marmalade, persimmon

Thank you for stopping by. I hope its a good week for you. Stay safe. Hugs Emmax

Floral cards

Good Morning all.

Today is 2 cards i made with a stamp i was given for my birthday last year and i finally got around to using it - i was trying out my new altenew alcohol markers i got in the sales - as you know colouring isn't my forte as i don't have the patience but they are lovely pens to use

6x6 scalloped cardbase.  I first stamped and coloured the flowers and then cut them out - 1 full flower and 2 buds.  I die cut a square from white card and added some soft stencilling with oxide inks and then stencilled on gold dots with acrylic paint.  I stamped the sentiment in black and then matted onto a square of turquoise pearl card and then the base card.  I gently curved the flowers and arranged with glue gel.

A close up of the flower - i did add some cosmic shimmer opal blaze which had just arrived in the post to the flower tips - think you can just make out the subtle shimmer

and version two is very purple

Items Used:
Crafters companion stamp set 'beautiful peony'
Sentiment stamps
Tattered lace square dies
Stencils - script, triangled & dots
Copper paint
Oxide inks - wilted violet, peacock feathers
Cosmic shimmer opal blaze 'golden blackberry & gilded avocado'
Altenew alcohol marker sets - 'seashore & shades of purple'

Thank you for stopping by once again.  Keep safe. Hugs Emmax

Male Get well Card

Good Morning everyone, i hope you are all having a good start to the week.

So today its time for a new challenge over at   cardz4guyz

The theme this fortnight is

GET WELL SOON

Ive gone for making a CAS card with Katzelkraft stamps and brusho's.

6x6 white cardbase.  I first computer printed the word sick onto white card, i then die cut that into a square, then working out where i wanted my sheep to be i added brusho powders to that area.  Once dry i stamped the sheep into place.  I stamped the sheep once more and cut out and decoupaged over the first one.  I left him mainly white to stand out against all the coloured background.  Just added a little colour to the eyes and horns.

Then matted onto black card and then the cardbase.  I computer printed the rest of the sentiment in the same font, cut into a strip, layered onto black card and then added underneath the sheeps feet.

Just a close up.  I added glossy accents to his eyes and horns.

Items Used:
Katzelkraft 'Farm Animal' stamp set
Tattered lace square dies
Brushos - turquoise & gambage

So please do pop over to cardz4guyz to see what everyone comes up with and join in.

Baby cards

Good Morning all.

So today im sharing the second baby boy card i made for my cousin, but i also made a few extra for the box.

Yep its those cross stitch fishtail banners again!  And most of you that know me know i rarely stick to baby blue and pink!

Olive green polka dot cardstock, tattered lace elephant die, using a second cross stitch banner, I cut it in half and glued it back on behind the main topper to extend it, so it peeks out the top and bottom, on that i stamped the sentiment by carefully bending my clearly besotted stamp to fit the fishtail shape.  For the side panels i cut a cross stitch rectangle is half to extend it.  Overall card size is 6 x 5.5".  Buttons from my stash, not used buttons in a while.

and below for the box

Tattered Lace Giraffe die, lemon

Pink Giraffe

Lilac elephant

Blue elephant.

If you fancy a peek at another card i made with these elephant dies the link is below

Thank you for stopping by and looking.

Wishing you all a lovely day. Emma
