Building block card

Good Morning everyone

Today is a fun fold, my first attempt at a 'building block' card, I found a template on pinterest which was too small for the topper I wanted to use so I just adjust it to the size I wanted.  Ive used these beautiful acetate printed flowers, they have a lovely gold holographic foil which sadly the photos don't do justice too.

Approx card size closed: 7x4.5"      Opened out on display: 7x9"   Full length is 11.5"

I found a paper in my stash in the perfect colour tones as the flowers so matted onto the card base.  On the front panel i matted white card onto of the purple paper so that my flowers really stand out.    I die cut the flower pot from kraft card.  I adhered one of the floral sprays flat to the card and then adhered one onto the insert that goes into the pot so that it can be removed and used as a bookmark.

Showing the building blocks.  I die cut my friends name and happy birthday from white and gold hologaphic cardstock, used the gold as a drop shadow and adhered them into place.

Showing how the 'bookmark' removed.  Its hard to do these acetate floral sprays justice in the photo.

Items Used:
Floral PET/Acetate flowers (ebay find)
Tattered lace alphabet dies
Honey bee stamps - Flower pot die set
Birthday sentiment die
12x12 Patterned paper

A get well card, i used pink and lemon acetate butterflies which have holographic gold foiling, and die cut lots of mini butterflies to go with them.

Just a generic with love version this time using green & yellow acetate butterflies.

Thank you all for stopping by.  I hope you all have a good week. Emmax

Poinsettias

Good Morning everyone, i hope you all had a good weekend.

I bought this plant pot die set for my mums birthday card and after making it i wondered how it would look with poinsettias so this is the outcome.  The pot die folds to make a little pocket and then has a tag that fits inside with flowers on the top - i added a hidden surprise inside my pots too for some fun.  I shall show the version i made for mums birthday in January.

5x6" white cardblank.  I used patterned papers all from the same pad, i matted a bluey tone and striped paper onto gold mirror card and then the base card.  From the pot die set i cut the pot from gold tone paper and then the tag that goes inside from green paper.  I die cut poinsettias from a red tone paper and arranged on the top of the tag, making sure the tag would slide in and out freely - to help this i added foam pads to the sides of the pot pocket.

I then arranged more poinsettias around the pot and some die cut foliage.  I added glitter glue and gold gems to the centres.

and below is the surprise...... whats hiding in the pot?

Oh look at where that cheeky kitty has been hiding😁

Showing the tag completely removed.  You could also add a secret greeting to the back.

A close up on naughty kitty - my cats love helping (hindering) me while crafting so this idea came to me as my mums cat loves helping her garden😁 .  Using tim holtz mini crazy cat stamp and watercoloured with distress oxide inks.  Glossy accents added to her eyes.  Coloured in tones to match the recipients cat.

Items Used:
Honey bee die - flower pot
Tim Holtz crazy cat mini stamps
flower & foliage dies
MFT curved border/edger die
Basicgrey paper pad 'evergreen'
Oxide inks - cat - candied apple, spiced marmelade, lemonade, black soot
Stickles - diamond

This is my last upload before Christmas so i would like to wish you all

A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY & HEALTHY NEW YEAR

Flower Pots

Good Morning everyone and im back, glad to see my scheduled posts went ahead as planned while i've was 'away'.  Thank you to those of you who popped by, I will catch up with you all soon.

Today im just sharing a little best wishes card i made for a friend just to let them know i was thinking of them.

DL white card blank.  I cut a white panel slightly smaller than the card front and stamped my greeting, I then embossed the top section above the sentiment with a brick style embossing folder.  I die cut the flower pots twice from white card, i coloured all of the first one with alcohol pens and then just the pots on the 2nd one.  I then cut the pots out and mounted on top of the first one with glue gel to add some dimension.

I die cut lots of little butterflies from scrap of card coloured with the same colour pens.

A close up of the flower and pots, this shows the true colour better.  I added touch of glitter glue to the flowers.

Items Used:
Unbranded Flower pot die
Memory box mini butterfly dies
Sizzix embossing folder
Phill Martin sentiment stamp

Thank you for stopping by, I haven't done any crafting for about 3 weeks now so need to find some mojo. I hope you all enjoy the bank holiday weekend. Emma
