Happy Fathers Day

Good Morning everyone

Today im sharing the little card Ive made for my dad for Fathers day.  I bought this duck stamp way back in the January sales so its about time i inked it up...maybe these 3 ducks represent my 2 brothers and I - when my youngest brother was 4 he wanted to grow up to be a duck😂

6x4.5" Cream card base. I stamped the ducks twice onto white card and watercoloured with distress inks and cut out, from the 2nd one i cut out the 2 front ducks and decoupaged them onto the base image with glue gel.

I die cut pale teal rain drop paper with memory box 'splashing puddles' die, i knew i wanted it larger than the die so i cut 2 and glued them together where i knew it would be hidden behind the ducks.  I adhered to gold holographic mirror card and added to the base.  I then added the ducks in place.  Stamped a sentiment, cut up and adhered to the left edge to finish.

The background, where the point of my pointy tool is, is where the join of the 2 panels is, my ducks hide it and it meant i could have a bigger background.  The gold rainbow holographic really dances in the light and through the die cut raindrops.

Items Used:
Woodware duck stamp JGS810 'Morris, James & Bill the ducks'
Woodware sentiment stamp
Memory box die 'splashing puddles'
Rain drop paper from the works
Gold holographic mirror card
Distress inks - wild honey, lemonade, evergreen bough, peacock feathers, dusty concorde

Thank you all for popping by.  I hope you all have a good week. Emma

Lots of frogs

Good Morning everyone

Today is some more of those really happy aall&create frogs in action - their expressions just crack me up making me smile every time i see them.....kind of remind me of one of my brothers😁.  When the frogspawn arrives in the pond we know spring is finally on its way, it was late this year, so much so that we were beginning to think we wouldn't get any so were all delighted to see the first frog spawn and had several since.

When i first used these stamps i stamped and coloured alot of them as i dislike colouring so tend to do several at the same time, so ive finally got around to using them again, they were all watercoloured with oxide inks.  All papers from a lovely paper pad from the works

5x7" white base card.  I cut a piece of paper to fit the base and a mat layer of navy blue cardstock, from the paper piece i die cut the memory box splashing puddles die - this has a lovely water drop background, i added silver holographic behind and attached to the base. The holographic really shimmers when the light hits it - kind of like how the sunlight plays on the water.

I then got arranging all the stamped images, add stamped sentiments and a few touches of glitter glue to finish.

Version 2 made the same way but this time i used 2 different patterned papers, having the join where the die cut puddles are.  - you cna really see the holographic peeking through on this one behind the puddles.  A different layout with the frogs and quote from the stamp set.

and lastly a DL card using the leftovers, i added a water paper to the background and die cut circles of another paper from the pad mounted onto larger white circles...........i thought it kind of had the effect of looking like them floating about on the water, relaxing on their day off😁

Items Used:
aall&create stamps 'be hoppy'
Memory  box die 'splashing puddles'
12x12 paper pad - the works 'fresh feeling'
Silver holographic cardstock
Navy & white cardstock
Distress oxide inks - twisted citron, ripe persimmon, picked raspberry, evergreen bough, denim, fossilized amber

Thank you all for popping by and all your amazing comments you take the time to leave.  Hugs Emmax

Dancing frog

Good Morning everyone.

Today im sharing a little fun acetate card

5x5" acetate cardbase.  I stamped my frog and watercoloured him with oxide inks and fussy cut him out.  I die cut my splashing puddle die from this bubbly paper and attached it to the front of my acetate.  From the same paper pad i made my insert with a fabulous glittery water looking paper  - folding it patterned side out so that it shows through my acetate and looks like the water my frog is dancing in. Stamped sentiment die cut into a circle and a few touches of glitter glue to finish.

A close up of Mr frog and you can see the acetate. He is actually part of a set of Christmas stamps.

Items Used:
Frog stamp - 12 days of Christmas stamp set - magazine freebie
Memory box splashing puddles die
Circle die
Sentiment stamp
papers - B&M - ombre & magical beasts
Hunkydory acetate
Oxide inks - twisted citron, lucky clover, persimmon, Blueprint, raspberry

Thank you all for stopping by and all your amazing comments on my dog picture.  I hope its a good week for you. Stay safe. Hugs Emmax
