Poppy birthday

Good Morning everyone.  I hope you are all doing ok.

Today im sharing a little card i made for my sister in laws birthday, she loves poppies and neutral colours so its a CAS design.

Card approx 4.5x6"  I first die cut my white frame from white linen card and on the middle panel that comes out i stamped the poppy with back archival ink, i also stamped a little butterfly.  I coloured the poppy stem/leaves with alcohol markers in a soft green.  I stamped the poppy head and butterfly again onto a scrap of pale red patterned paper and cut them out, i then paper pieced them onto the main panel and added touches of glitter glue.

I mounted my frame onto the card front with foam tape and them slipped the topper panel back into place.  Stamped greeting onto a die cut banner to finish - i added a dot of the glitter glue to each end of the banner.

A close up, i also went around the outside of the image with a very pale grey

Birthday Cake

 Morning everyone.

Today im sharing a card that i made for a good friends birthday, she actually sent me the lovely stamp as a gift so this is my first outing for the lovely lady.  Ive used papers all from the same pad and added in chocolate mirri card and gold glitter card.

7x7 scalloped cardbase.  I rounded the corners on a piece of pink floral paper and attached to chocolate brown mirri card and then the cardbase.  I stamped my image onto white card and some of the patterned papers which i then used to paper piece on the base image.  I doodled in some ground with a black fine liner and then die cut into an oval and mounted onto chocolate mirri card.

I then die cut foliage from gold glitter card and the chocolate mirri card and arranged with some pink ready made flowers.  Stamped greeting, glitter glue and pink enamel drops to finish.

Close up on my little lady, i used alcohol markers on her hair and skin.  A very different image from my usual style and pink - most definately not a colour i use often😄 but i really enjoyed making this card.

Items Used:
Stamping Bella stamp
LOTV sentiment stamp
Kasiercraft paper pad 'Chanteuse Collection'
Gold Glitter card
Chocolate Mirror card
Paper flowers

I hope you all have a good week. More family time this week, on the last leg of 3 weeks of half terms.  Hopefully next week can get back into routine.  Thank you for stopping by. Emmax

Flowers

Good Morning everyone.  Well i can't believe its the start of the school Easter Holidays.

Today im sharing 4 cards i made using left over paper pieces mainly from the same paper pad.  Also using beautiful Stamping Bella stamps that i won as a prize just before christmas from Di at Pixies snippets blog, thank you Di, these are my first stamping bella stamps and im very impressed with them.

First outing for them is paper piecing which is one of my fav techniques, i do find fussy cutting out relaxing - although not in front of the tv or you might need a trip to the hospital as i did many years ago😀.

6x6 White base card. I die cut a stitched square from white linen card smaller than my cardfront.  I stamped the flowers in black on the white panel where i wanted them.  I then stamped them again  onto various patterned papers and cut them all out.  Using a curved border die and some green paper i cut a piece to fit the bottom of my white square to act as the grass for my flowers to be growing out of. I edged the panel with green ink and attached to the basecard.

I inked the edges of my cut of flowers, curved them and added over the black image with glue gel to give them shape.  I added on some stamped leaves and glitter to the stamens.  Die cut a white sentiment and adhered to the grass panel and mini butterflies to finish.

Made the same way as the first one, just different paper snippets in use and a scalloped 6x6 cardblank.  Hello sentiment.

This one uses the other flower stamp and leaf in the stamp set.  Made the same way as above but this time i stamped the flower onto 2 different papers, so cut out the full flower from the dotty paper and then the centre part from a yellow gingham paper which i added onto with more glue gel for dimension.  I found these leaves a tad too delicate to fussy cut out so i stamped them onto the panel and coloured with pens.

and lastly, this one uses the same papers for the flowers as above, only the yellow gingham for the main and the dotty for the centre.  Get well sentiment.

Items Used:

Memory box mini butterflies
Spellbinders sentiment dies
MFT Curved border edge dies
MME (My Minds Eye) Kate&Co 'Cambridge Court' paper pad
Echo Park 'Style Essentials' paper pad
Ranger stickles glitter glue

Thank you for stopping by once again. I hope you all have a wonderful week.  Emma
