Sunflowers

Good Morning everyone

I hope you all had a good weekend, it is certainly feeling more autumnal, which i love.

Today im sharing a small batch of floral cards.  Using lovely aall&create stamps, ive coloured them to look more like sunflowers.  Ive used pearl cardstock with a hint of gold, which is lovely to colour onto and the shimmer still shines through.

Approx size .I used Crealies arch dies and white pearl to make my base card and a smaller frame.  I attached the frame to the base with foam tape.  On the die cut  piece from the middle of the frame i stamped the flowers and watercoloured around them with distress inks and then splashed on more of the same ink and i glued it into the middle of the frame.  I stamped the flowers again onto more of the pearl card and watercoloured with derwent inktense pencils, cut out, added some shape and decoupaged them onto the base image with glue gel.

I stamped a bee, cut out and added to the base.  Touches of glitter glue on the flower centre finish and yellow gems to finish.

Card 2 made the same way, just added a little bee

card 3 - I went with with an orange and green colour combo this time

and card 4.

Items Used:
aall&create stamps 'in the wild'
Pinkink bee stamp 'queen bee'
Crealies XXL nest dies - arch
White gold pearl cardstock
Derwent inktense pencils
Distress inks 'tumbled glass' 'cracked pistachio'
Ranger stickles 'crystal' & 'diamond'

Thank you all for stopping by.  I hope you all have a great week. Hugs Emmax

Fungi thank you

Good Morning everyone

A lovely craft friend kindly gave me a pack of kraft card blanks so this is the thank you card i made for her using said kraft card blank, one for the base and i also used one to stamp all my images onto and cut out.

Direct on the kraft base i stamped the pink ink fungi stamp, using the leafy flourish in the set around the edges to help frame Mr Fungi.  I also stamped the sentiment.  On another piece of kraft card i stamped Mr fungi and some of the smaller images in the set and watercoloured them with derwent inktense pencils.  I then cut them out and attached to the base building up a little scene.

I used a brown finliner as i had stamped everything in brown and doodled in some ground a border around the edge to join up the leaf flourishes.  Glitter glue highlights on the dragonfly wings to finish.
Version 2, the same but different😁🍄

Items Used:
Pink Ink stamp 'shitake happens'
Stampin up stamp ' sassy salutations'
Clearly besotted sentiment stamp
Derwent Inktense pencils
Brown fineliner pen
Versaclair fallen leaves
Ranger stickles 'stardust'

Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to comment, i really do appreciate it.  My little seagull chick has doubled in size and the parents not quite so protective or they have learnt this human is no threat so they are now letting me water my plant pots so thats good😊.  I hope you all have a good week, keep cool. Birthday Badger

Good Morning everyone

This badger was another black Friday pink ink stamp set that fell into my basket.  I made this card for my mums birthday

7x7" scalloped card blank.  I first made a brusho & pixie powder background in green to represent fields, cut to size, matted onto black and then my base card.  I die cut a spellbinders label 1 from the same coloured background and mounted onto foam tape and added to the base.
I stamped the 2 badgers and the floral corner several times, watercoloured with distress inks and cut them out, from 2 of the flower corners i cut them into smaller pieces so that i could both extend the main floral corner at the bottom right and add a small piece to the top left to give the effect that you are looking through a hedge into a field. I decoupaged & built them up with 3d glue gel for dimension.  I added my badgers into place and a few touches of glitter glue on the flower centres to finish.

You can just make out some of the shimmer in the background for the pixie powder - when the light hits it the mica really comes to life

Just showing the dimension of the layers

Items Used:
Pink Ink stamp 'Brock'
Spellbinders grand labels 1 dies
Brushos 'lime, leaf green'
Cosmic Shimmer pixie sparkles 'zesty lime'
Distress inks - evergreen bough, dried marigold, fired brick, ripe persimmon, black soot, dusty concorde
7x7 Scalloped card blank - CraftyUK ltd
White cardstock - CraftyUK ltd
Black cardstock

Thank you all for stopping by once again.  Hugs Emmaxx

Sea of Turtles

Good Morning everyone

Today im sharing a mixed media MDF Home decor project, using the amazing pink ink turtle stamp set.

Size 12x8"  After doing the background which is shown down below i got building up my scene with turtles stamped in black and coloured with inktense pencils and cut out, stamped seaweed & shells and then shells and a little piece of driftwood ive collected over the years on our lovely Cornish beaches. Before assembling I gave everything a coat of gloss mod podge to protect it all.

I added glossy accents to the turtle shells

The photos don't pick it up but the starlight paints really shimmer when the light hits them

I used a mix of stamped shells and real shells.   I haven't gone with a bright blue sea as my turtles are swimming down among the seaweed

How i made the background.
I covered the mdf in black gesso,  added texture paste through a pebble stencil, once dry i covered it all in patches of acrylic paints using colours id used in the turtles.  I then dry bushed on white, silver, gold & diamond paints to soften it and give a shimmer.  I then stencilled on foliage to act as seaweed with dark green paint and some bubbles with a glitter texture paste.  I edged the whole panel with the dark green paint.  I then got sticking on the stamped seaweed, a little bit of net and building up my scene

Just showing the first paint stage - yes it looks a right mess,  you really do have to work through the messy stage and stick with it

and this is how it started out, i bought it to alter, the gesso covers the printed design and gives a good base to work on.

Items Used:
Pink Ink stamp sets 'Sea Turtle' & 'Pinky inky' (for the shell stamps)
Lavinia stencil 'pebbles'
Foliage stencil
Golden texture paste 'white'
Finnibair texture paste 'unicorn'
Pebeo acrylic paints
Imagination crafts starlight/Dora paints 'Rich gold'  'diamond'
Derwent Inktense Pencils
Ranger Glossy accents

Thank you all for stopping by once again, i really appreciate it and waving hello to all my email followers.  I hope its a good week for you all.  Hugs Emmax

Turtley Awesome

Good Morning everyone.

Today is another pink ink stamp...my new addiction i think😀  Ive made a card with an acetate window

A5 dark green cardbase.  I first die cut an aperture in the middle of my base using spellbinders grand labels4, i then cut a piece of white card to fit and got stamping with seaweed stamps from the stamp set using an ombre inkpad.  I stamped some little bubbles at the top with grey ink.  I then stamped more seaweed on white card and cut out.  The shells were all stamped on little off cuts of coloured papers and cut out.
I added acetate to the inside front of the card and a lovely patterned paper insert from a paper pad from the works that i felt looks like more seaweed.
I then stamped my turtle and coloured with inktense pencils and cut out.  I added glossy accents to the shell.  I added her to the card front and arranged the seaweed and shells around her.  I then stamped the sentiment from the set, cut out and attached to finish.

Items Used:
Pink Ink stamps 'sea turtle'
Spellbinders Grand Labels 4 dies
Ombre ink pad
Paper pad make & create 'fresh feeling' - the works
Derwent Inktense pencils
CraftUk ltd smooth white card
Dark green cardstock

Thank you all for stopping by.  I hope you have a good week. Hugs Emmax

Kraft Poppies

Good Morning everyone

This kraft card had beautiful printed poppies on it so i decided to colour them in.  It was an old paper pad from B&M called vintage baroque

Card approx 6.5x6.5"..  I coloured the poppies with Derwent inktense pencils and used a grey alcohol marker for the background.  I die cut with my spellbinders grand labels 1.  I then used a smaller scalloped labels 1 and die cut 2 panels from the middle of this piece.  I die cut a larger fancy labels 1, and then attached the outside of my poppy panel with foam tape, then the middle size i added back in glued flat and the very middle piece i added on foam tape again, making sure the pattern lines up each time  - i did this just to add some interest to my poppy panel.   I stamped the sentiment on a smaller kraft square and added with foam tape to the middle.

Butterflies die cut from kraft card with a gem centre to finish. I then die cut the largest grand label1 from kraft card, folded this is half to act as my cardbase and then attached  the poppy panel.

Showing it side on and how it stands up.  You can also make out my layers in the poppies better here.

Colouring on kraft

Good Morning all

Today is 2 little cards.  I had strips of this printed kraft card left over and though they would be ideal to colour in, i used my inktense pencils to colour it and Im pleased with the outcome, i have several printed sheets in some paper pads i bought a few years ago in B&M so think i will colour in another one or two

6x5.5" kraft card blanks - i embossed the card blanks with a lovely swirly embossing folder to add a little interest.  I coloured the kraft panel with inktense pencil, adding grey alcohol marker to the background and leaving the kraft card plain for the highlights. I then attached it to the base card. Stamped greeting to finish.

Yep completely flat cards and some colouring in - both very unusual for me😁
