WLS Oct #2 Autumn

Good Morning everyone

Time for some mid month inspiration for We Love Stamping where the theme is

AUTUMN
or we always have the anything goes option as long as you use stamping

Ive got quite an eclectic card today using lots of different brands.

Card Size approx 5x7" Cut from maroon cardstock.  I raided my stash for a previously made background, this green and copper one was made using brushos & copper pixie powders.  I then stamped the spiders web onto it with black ink, die cut to fit the cardfront and adhered.  I then die cut a frame from the same maroon card smaller than my background panel and adhered with foam tape

I stamped the pumpkins watercoloured with distress inks, cut them out and adhered into place with pinflair glue gel.  Stamped the sentiment onto orange inked card, die cut into fishtail banner and tucked behind the pumpkins.

I then raided my stash of leaves ive cut from scraps over the years to find some that co-ordinated and adhered in the corners and some smaller ones floating around the pumpkins.

Sadly the photos don't pick up the mica powder shimmer in the background and some of the die cut leaves are from gold glitter card and copper satin card so both dance when the light hits them.

Items Used:
aall&create spider web stamp #572 'spooky sky'
Stampendous stamp #CRP371 'pumpkin night'
Clearly besotted stamps 'seasonal sentiments'
Brusho powders - moss green, lime
Cosmic shimmer pixie powder - copper
Distress Inks 'spiced marmalade, dried marigold, wild honey, dusty concorde, black soot'
Spellbinders die 'little leaf sets'
MFT fishtail banner die set
?? Nesting die set ??

August We love stamping - flowers

Good Morning everyone

Welcome to August.  Over at We Love Stamping the theme this month is

FLOWERS
So nice and easy but you can always go with the anything goes as long as you use stamping - rubber, clear or digi

Our Prize this month is a £25 voucher from Personal Impressions  who stock various different brands.

6.5x6.5" kraft card blank.  I first took the stamperia wooden foliage panel and sprayed with inks to colour - more details on this down below.

I mounted it onto the cardfront - being about 5mm thick this adds a lovely depth to the card but its also super light weight.  I stamped the lily onto white card with versafine clair teal ink and watercoloured with distress inks and cut out.

I die cut a circle from white cardstock and put through a sizzix embossing folder, i adhered this to the card front and added the lily with pinflair glue gel.

I die cut the sentiment twice, once from card inked with the same inks i used to colour the lily and once from the white card to give a drop shadow and help it stand out, these i added to a strip of kraft card and then the card front.

Difficult to show but one of the sprays i used on the background has mica so a lovely shimmer & sparkle when the light hits it.

and as i got a 2nd background when I sprayed the woodchip I made another card

I matted the background onto 7" square card blank.  Die cut a circle from white card using and embossed, this i added to the bottom left of the inked background and added the lily on top.  Stamped sentiment onto card inked with the same distress inks used to colour the lily, die cut into a circle and matted onto a larger circle die cut from white.  Gems added to finish.

Old lily of the valley (LOTV) sentiment stamp reads 'sending you sunshine all year through' which is rather lovely

This is the stamperia decorative chip i used, its very light so i guess like a balsa wood

I placed it onto white card and sprayed with cosmic shimmer airless misters in greens, yellow and pink, you then get the pattern onto the white card as well - so no ink wasted and a free background for another project.  I did wonder how well the woodchip would take the wet inks but it stood up to them well, I didn't over saturate, just sprayed enough to cover.

Items Used:
Pennyblack slapstick cling stamp 'tiger lily'
LOTV sentiment stamp
Stamperia decorative chip
Ranger distress Inks - squeezed lemonade, wild honey, ripe persimmon, twisted citron, mowed grass
Versafine Clair ink 'warm breeze'
Cosmic Shimmer airless misters
MFT Circle die
hello sentiment die (maybe Simon says?)
Sizzix honeycomb & swirl embossing folders (very old)
CraftUK ltd kraft card

Pumpkins

Good Morning everyone

Today im sharing the only Halloween cards i made, i used a stampendous pumpkin stamp and aall&create spider web.

I made my cardbase from orange pearl cardstock which has a lovely shimmer to it, i stamped the spider web in 2 corners using grey ink and stamped the sentiment in black in the bottom right corner.  I then took some patterned papers and stamped the batty spider web in the middle, matted onto black and added a die cut a frame from black and added over the top with foam tape.  I took an offcut of the same paper matted onto black and added to the left side of the card front. I then added my topper panel with more foam tape.

I stamped the pumpkins and watercoloured with inktense pencils and cut out. Fright night sentiment stamped in black and die cut into an inverted scallop circle.  I added glossy accents to the pumpkin, bat & owl eyes to finish.

Version 2
It is interesting as i stamped all the pumpkins on off cuts of white card - i have a drawer full!  Anyway i used the same inktense pencils on them all and they look quite different, the first one brighter and more muted on this one.

and version 3, made the same way but i added Mr Crow who id paper pieced to add a bit of colour and i cut the pumpkins up to build a little scene around the crow.

Items Used:
Stampendous stamps 'pumpkin night'
Aall&create stamps #445 dashing crow & #572 spooky sky
Clearly besotted sentiment stamp
Frame die
Stitched circle dies
Spellbinders inverted scallop die
Funky Fossil paper pad 'kaleidoscope'
Inktense pencils

Thank you all for stopping by and all your lovely comments too, i really do appreciate it.  I hope you all have a good week.  Its half term so i hope to catch up with my nieces at some point. Hugs Emmaxx
