Herd of Rabbits

Good Morning everyone

Now thats a question, on going to type up this post I was trying to think what the collective term for rabbits is and found i didn't know.....Mr google and lots of reading and im not much the wiser...herd, colony, warren, flock & nest were all named...So i asked the family, being farmers one would think they would know as they have alot of wild rabbits....after alot of discussion around the Christmas table (i didn't mention google results) they weren't sure but decided it must be warren......   Although I guess as a male rabbit is a buck and female a doe then herd is more likely?

Anyway i was given this fab tonic rabbit die set for my birthday so decided to use it to make a birthday card for my Niece and also a few more bunnies for the box.  Lizzy was 8 just before Christmas.

This shows the front and back of the card as i decorated both sides as it only makes a small card...size approx 3x5.5"...  I dug out all the paper scraps for these.  I started with chocolate pearlised cardstock for the base of the rabbit, used  a ivory card for the body layer and decorated using the dies in the set.  Computer printed sentiments onto a very pale pink cardstock and die cut again using a label die that comes in the set.  I added glitter to the flower centre for a little bit of bling.

This shows how they easily stand up.  I die cut the body mat layer from pale cardstock to line inside to write on

A hug version, this shows 2 cards, i did the dress on the front and the male outfit on the back.  For these ones i used a ginger pearl double sided cardstock for the base card.

I also did 2 baby versions, one for a girl and one for a boy

and a get well and birthday version.  The get well sentiment die comes with the rabbits so fits perfectly. The birthday is an old justrite sentiment stamp

Items Used:
Tonic studio dies 'Bernice & Bradley Bunny' 3638e
Various paper scraps
Ginger & Chocolate pearl cardstock
Cream & Ivory cardstock
Justrite sentiment stamp
Ranger stickles glitter glue

I hope you all have a good week.  Ive not yet found my mojo after its Christmas break so still tidying up the craft stash and ive still plenty of projects to share with you😃  Stay safe. Hugs Emmaxxx

New Baby Girl

Good Morning everyone.

Last week my 5th niece was born - Charlotte Rose.  So im sharing the 2 cards i made for her, as usual for family occasions i make 2 as one is for my parents so i always try and make them completely different.

7x7" White scalloped cardblank.  I mounted pink patterened paper onto grey pearl card and then the base card.  I die cut my elephant from the soft grey pearl card and the pink paper and layered together.  I die cut a white frame and added it to the card front with foam tape, i added my elephant and my die cut sentiment - the baby is one word and i made up the 'girl' using individual alpha dies. .

Close up on my little elephant.  I added a darker eye to help it stand out a little bit more as in retrospect think the paper might be too busy.  In order to cut the pink paper elephant i first cut the grey card elephant and left the die cut in the die and then cut the paper, this means it just cut around the outside of the elephant and not the lacy inside.

For card 2 i used neutrals and a little lion, approx 5.5x5.5".  I first die cut my lion from beige dotty card and champagne glitter card, i then cut off the main and tail and glued onto the dotty lion.  I added a piece of brown card to the back of his head for the ears/eyes.  I die cut a octogen from ivory card and stamped my greeting in chocolate brown, i mounted this onto a champagne glitter octogen.

Using my crealies octogen patchword die set i die cut the beige dotty card into patchwork peices and mounted them onto a large octogen from ivory cardstock.  I then added the lion topper panel with foam tape.  I used a dark brown fine liner pen to add in stitch details.

A close up on my lion, sadly the photo doesn't do the glitter card justice as it really sparkles.

Items Used:
Crealies octogen  patchwork dies
Memory box stitched octogen dies
Lion die
Filagree elephant die
Mama elephant frame die set
sentiment & alphabet dies
Kanban pink patten paper
Anne-Marie taupe dotty cardstock
Grey pearl & Ivory leather effect card - payper box
CraftUK ltd white card
Champagne glitter cardstock

Thank you all for stopping by once again.  I hope you all have a good week, i can't beleive its time for the children to go back to school.  Emmax

New Baby Niece

Good Morning Everyone.

Last week with all that cold weather my 4th little niece was born, she picked a cold week to arrive.  So i kept in the warm and made some cards for her.

Baby Bottle shaped card.  I first cut the bottle shape from white linen card, keeping the card spine to the left.  I then cut a smaller layer and die cut an oval into it,  then dry embossed with the swiss dots.  Added red gingham card behind the aperture and added the layer onto the front with 3d foam tape.  I then added an oval frame and my die cut giraffe. Id wrapped cotton twine around the neck. Computer printed sentiment die cut into a small tag and added with more twine and a co-ordinating button.

For the second card i dug out my old fabulous stork stamp.  Ive stamped him onto white card and simply watercoloured in lilac and touches of yellow for his beak & feet. I then cut him out.  Stamped sentiment and die cut with pierced delight spellbinders die

6x6 white linen cardblank, matted and layered with a lilac pattern paper die cut into a wonky stitched square, matted onto die cut white square and onto lilac pearl card.  Pearls to finish.

And a card for the new big sister, i found this lovely image of two little girls in an old LOTV art pad.  Computer printed sentiment, and then ive just matted the image onto purple card to pick up the colours in the topper.

I also made this tag for the new big sister to add to a little gift.  Elephant die cut into grey pearl card, yellow gingham circle, tag cut in white and grey pearl card and die cut alpha's.

While i was at it i made a few more bottle cards for the box

Yellow gingham one

and blue and grey polka dot ones, all same details as the first one.

Tattered lace square dies
Cuttlebug swiss dots embossing folder

Memory box cross stitch rectangles

Babies & Men!

Good Morning all, and we are now really into the countdown to Christmas.

Today im sharing a baby card and a men's birthday card, so a good mix!

The first card i made for a friend who became a first time granny recently.

5x7 White cardblank.  I used dove grey pearl card and pink polka dot card.  I first computer printed the sentiment and added it behind the grey die cut frame on foam pads.  Die cut baby items added to the bottom.  I then embossed white card and matted onto pink and grey card, wrapped with grey satin ribbon.  Pink pearls to finish.

and onto a 60th Male birthday card

5.5x6" white cardblank.  I die cut the star frame in black and gold mirri card, mounted it on foam pads on to the computer printed sentiment.  White card embossed with dogtooth and then mounted onto gold mirri and black card and added to the base.  I then die cut extra stars in the black and gold mirri and added around the frame.

This was made for a man who doesn't really have any interests.  He loved it so that was good.

Close up, the photo doesn't really show the gold mirri to its best.

Items Used:
Star frame die - make unknown
MFT frame die
Baby icon dies
Crafters companion 'purl knit' embossing folder
Papermania 'dog tooth' embossing folder
Anna-Marie pink polka dot cardstock

Thank you for stopping by and all your comments on my 1st blog birthday post.  I hope you all have a good week. Emma

Baby cards

Good Morning all.

So today im sharing the second baby boy card i made for my cousin, but i also made a few extra for the box.

Yep its those cross stitch fishtail banners again!  And most of you that know me know i rarely stick to baby blue and pink!

Olive green polka dot cardstock, tattered lace elephant die, using a second cross stitch banner, I cut it in half and glued it back on behind the main topper to extend it, so it peeks out the top and bottom, on that i stamped the sentiment by carefully bending my clearly besotted stamp to fit the fishtail shape.  For the side panels i cut a cross stitch rectangle is half to extend it.  Overall card size is 6 x 5.5".  Buttons from my stash, not used buttons in a while.

and below for the box

Tattered Lace Giraffe die, lemon

Pink Giraffe

Baby boy card

Good Morning all, i hope you all had a good weekend and keeping warm

So today im sharing a baby boy card i made for my cousin who's new family member arrived last week.

Octagon cut from my minds eye 'meadow' paper, matted onto a white card blank and cut to shape as well.  Mr Stork stamped onto white card and patterned paper, i paper pieced the bundle, bow tie and hat, used inks to colour the rest, i carefully cut him out and curved to add dimension before sticking him on. I added glossy accents to his glasses. Sentiment stamped onto stitched circle and matted with duck egg blue and white card circles.  White pearls to frame the topper.

Showing the detail better.

The stork and sentiment is from a stamp set by justrite called 'special delivery' code CR-04815
