WLS Apr fav stamp

Good Morning all

Time for the mid way post for We love stamping where the theme this month is

FAVOURITE STAMPS
optional add RIBBON/LACE

Not easy picking a favourite stamp, I have so many but this one from woodware called 'wild meadow' Is an old favourite.  Its a great one to stamp over a handmade inky background.  I wouldn't say I have a favourite brand of stamps either, my tastes are very eclectic😀

Card size approx 5x7"

I bought 3 cosmic shimmer airless misters in the January sales so decided it was time to try them out - LOVE them, which is sad as Creative Expressions who do the cosmic shimmer range have now retired.....but good news is Katy Sue are taking on the cosmic shimmer range.  Unlike traditional sprays these don't clog and can spray at any angle...even the pearl ones don't clog up like traditional style sprays....Anyway I had 3 colours and used them all on this background.  One of them is shimmery pearl so when the light hits it it really comes to life.

I stamped my image with versafine clair ink 'medieval blue' and die cut into shape, matted onto a large blue shape.  I worked out where i wanted the ribbon to come and adhered to the back of the panel and then added to a white base card die cut with the nesting dies.

I die cut the birthday sentiment circle from white card and matted onto a blue circular frame, I added this over the ribbon slider with glue gel.

Pink gems added to finish to pick up on the subtle pink in the background.

This shows the true colour better - Ive had these diamanté ribbon sliders for years so was determined to use one.  I used soft blue and vibrant green satin ribbons to pick up on the background colours.

I used a white posca pen to highlight some of the details in the stamped image

Its a shame that the photos just don't pick up the lovely shimmer of the one pearly spray I used but it adds a lovely soft shimmer effect.

Items Used;
Woodware stamp 'wild meadow'
Cosmic shimmer airless mister sprays 'cherry pop' green galore' 'ocean sparkle'
Versafine clair ink 'medieval blue'
MFT circle birthday die
Circle dies
Pale blue & green satin ribbon
Dimante ribbon slider
Navy blue card
Craft Uk ltd smooth white card
Papermania pink gems

Christmas bells - WLS Nov #2

Good Morning all

Half way through November so time for some more Christmas inspiration for We Love Stamping

Ive used another woodware stamp of these lovely bells and made DL cards (approx 4x8").
I stamped the image onto white card using green ink and watercoloured with derwent inktense pencils, adding some splatters with the same colours to soft the white background. I went around the outside edge of the bells with a pale grey alcohol marker.

Ive gone with a green & gold combo here.  I made my card base from Yellowy card and die cut a mat layer from green card and added my topper on top. Keeping it all flat for posting. Glitter glue highlights to the bells and along the edge of the topper panel to finish and add some Christmas sparkle.

I decided not to add an extra sentiment as it would hide the lovely bells and i think the 'ding dong merrily on high, in heaven the bells are ringing' which is part of the stamp says it all.
This is the reverse of the first one, so matted onto yellow with a green card base
I think you can just make out the glitter here, i added it to the bells and around all 4 edges of the white panel - in real life its very sparkly

the 2 together...the great thing about making DL cards is that the last third of the A4 that is spare is the perfect size for the mat on the 2nd card so no waste.

and a red and gold version

Items used:
woodware stamp FRS358 'heavenly bells'
Versafine Clair ink 'green oasis'
Derwent inktense pencils
DL nested dies
Ranger stickles 'crystal & diamond'

the lovely prize for the winner

So do hop over to we love stamping to join in with the Christmas theme or anything goes as long as stamping is involved.

Oh Christmas tree

Good Morning everyone

Its the first sunday in Novemeber so time for a new challenge over at We Love Stamping

The theme this month is CHRISTMAS so the ideal time to crack on with creating some Christmas cards, or if thats not for you we always have the anything goes option as long as you include stamping so do hop over to join in.

I got this fab woodware tree stamp in a sale which ive teamed up with some brusho and mica powder backgrounds

approx card size 5x7"  I first made backgrounds using green brushos and pixie powders for some mica shimmer, once dry i stamped the trees onto them and cut them out - these trees are a nice easy shape to fussy cut.

I die cut my card base from a dark green card and die cut a smaller one from white,  I then die cut in the middle of this white one with a smaller die again and then i dry embossed both white pieces in a 3d tree embossing folder - by essentially 'gutting' the middle of the larger white panel which i knew would be hidden it makes the cardstock go further and less weight for posting!  I also stamped the tree stamp onto the small panel before embossing so that the stems were on it and then paper pieced the green stamped trees into place.

I added the bigger white panel to the cardbase.  I added small offcuts of the green background and then added my topper panel over the top.  I edged the 2 white panels with diamond stickles glitter glue to add more Christmas sparkle. Stamped sentiment and gems added to finish.

Hopefully you can make out the embossing better in this one and the light hitting the pixie powders  which really do shimmer in real life.

I made 12 of this design, all the same but slightly different, the greens were much darker in this one.

Items Used:
Woodware stamp JG5534 'leggy trees'
LOTV sentiment stamps (very old & discontinued)
Nested dies
Sizzix 3d embossing folder by Kathrin Breen '665254'
Brusho powders - lime, sea green & emerald
Cosmic shimmer pixie powders - peacock, mango & red
Dark green cardstock
CraftUK ltd smooth white card

These lovely die by sweet dixi are the prize this month so do hop over to We Love Stamping  to join in

I hope you all have a great week.  Hugs Emmax

Happy Fathers Day

Good Morning everyone

Today im sharing the little card Ive made for my dad for Fathers day.  I bought this duck stamp way back in the January sales so its about time i inked it up...maybe these 3 ducks represent my 2 brothers and I - when my youngest brother was 4 he wanted to grow up to be a duck😂

6x4.5" Cream card base. I stamped the ducks twice onto white card and watercoloured with distress inks and cut out, from the 2nd one i cut out the 2 front ducks and decoupaged them onto the base image with glue gel.

I die cut pale teal rain drop paper with memory box 'splashing puddles' die, i knew i wanted it larger than the die so i cut 2 and glued them together where i knew it would be hidden behind the ducks.  I adhered to gold holographic mirror card and added to the base.  I then added the ducks in place.  Stamped a sentiment, cut up and adhered to the left edge to finish.

The background, where the point of my pointy tool is, is where the join of the 2 panels is, my ducks hide it and it meant i could have a bigger background.  The gold rainbow holographic really dances in the light and through the die cut raindrops.

Items Used:
Woodware duck stamp JGS810 'Morris, James & Bill the ducks'
Woodware sentiment stamp
Memory box die 'splashing puddles'
Rain drop paper from the works
Gold holographic mirror card
Distress inks - wild honey, lemonade, evergreen bough, peacock feathers, dusty concorde

Thank you all for popping by.  I hope you all have a good week. Emma

We love stamping June

Good Morning everyone

Today a new challenge starts over at We love stamping with the theme of fantastic florals or there is the anything goes option.   This month they also celebrate their 15th birthday so lots of amazing prizes on offer .

4x4" card.  I actually had these pearl cream nested die cuts on my desk left over from a previous project and thought they were the ideal for this little floral stamp from aall&create.  I first took 2 of the die cuts, added a hinge to one which i attached to the back of another to make my card base.  I then took another die cut, used a smaller die from the nested set to cut a frame which i attached to the card front with foam tape - from the centre piece I stamped the text from the stamp set with grey ink & then embossed it with a leafy embossing folder and lightly inked with evergreen distress ink and then added to the card front.

I stamped the flowers with my new fav green ink(versaclair green oasis), watercoloured the heads with raspberry, violet & honey oxide inks and the stems & leaves with evergreen oxide ink, cut them out & arranged on the card front, tucking them in behind the frame. Touch of glitter glue added to the flower centres.

I stamped the sentiment onto matt ivory cardstock with grey ink, cut out and attached to finish.

Just a close up of the flowers - i cut some stems shorter and on a couple chopped of the heads and added back at a different angle to add more variation. I made one taller by cutting the stem in half and hiding behind another flower

and showing it with the main stamp set i used - how different it looks in a different colour.

Items Used:
aall&create stamps #851 'rise & shine'
Woodware Sentiment stamp #FRS749 'strokes & words'
Sizzix embossing folder
Nesting dies
Distress Oxide inks 'evergreen bough, picked raspberry, wilted violet, squeezed lemonade, wild honey'
Versafine Clair ink 'green oasis, morning mist'

So many lovely stamps to be won so do hop over to join in the fun at we love stamping with your fantastic florals or anything goes.  I hope you all have a fabulous week. Emmax
