Twist n pop - under the sea

Good Morning everyone

Today im sharing my 2nd twist and pop card that I made for my sister in laws birthday.  I went with a seaside/ocean theme this time, teaming stamps up with a lovely Kaisercraft paper pad.  I was lucky enough last year to win a challenge and a voucher for Visible Image stamps so i bought the fab 'dare to swim' set.

Card size 6x5"  The front of the card, just using a paper and elements from the paper pad matted onto navy cardstock

And here it opens up.  I cut panels from the paper pad to fit the pop up sections and the top & bottom of the card and then i stamped onto them using the little fish in blue and bubbles with silver paint, inked the edges and attached to the card.  To the top and bottom i added paper ribbons that came in the paper pad and then a die cut white circle to the bottom for the greeting.
I then stamped the jellyfish and sea weed from the set, along with some shells, starfish & small seahorse using other stamps from my stash, i then coloured them all in and cut them out and got arranging.

I added touches of glitter glue to the little circles on the jellyfish

The little seahorse is hiding among the seaweed

Just showing how it all folds up - very clever.  I used instructions from here which were easy to follow and fit an A4 sheet.

and a little 5x5" card made with all the left overs with a lovely paper from the kaisercraft paper pad

Happy Bird-day

Good Morning everyone, i hope you're having a good week.

Today im sharing a fun card using those crazy birds and a good old favourite design of mine with the fishtail banners - my regular followers will know how well used these dies have been since i bought them many years ago, so much so that the coating is coming off in places and rust appearing😀.... they are just so useful

5x7" cardblank, bottom corners rounded.  I first stamped the crazy bird and water coloured with oxide inks, i then fussy cut him out.  I inked some white card using the same oxide inks and some mirror card with green alcohol inks, i then cut out lots of fishtail banners from them and mixed papers, i arranged these on my base card - takes a fair bit of shuffling to get an order that i liked.
I then cut a circle from my green inked mirror card and 2 papers , i added my bird to the centre with glue gel for dimension.
sentiment die cut from scraps of the same papers, all the papers are from the same paper pad and some were little scraps, ideal for the tiny little fishtail banner.

A close up on my owl, id added glossy accents for his eyes and you can see my green inked mirror card clearer.  The sentiment die is from a sizzix set - tropicool slider set

Items Used:
Tim Holtz crazy bird stamps
Oxide inks - squeeshed lemonade twisted citron, wilted violet & chipped shapphire
Alcohol inks - green shades
Spellbinders circle dies - plained & inverted scallop
Sizzix sentiment die - tropicool slider set 662783
MFT fishtail banner dies
Mirror card
Kaisercraft paper pad 'botanica'

Thank you all for stopping by once again. I hope you all have a good end of the week and weekend. Emma

Oriental Tri-Panel card

Good Morning everyone, its monday again and time for a new challenge over at Make My Monday

The theme this time is

ORIENTAL

So digging through my stash found this beautiful stamp which came free a while ago with a magazine and lovely paper pad called cherry blossom by kaisiercraft.

I didn't want to hide the beautiful papers so decided to make a different shaped card.  Not sure what its called but image below shows it better.  I stamped my image onto white card and various papers so i could paper piece the image.  I then mounted the topper onto black cardstock.

I picked out a lovely fan paper which i thought went with the image perfectly and layered onto black card and then the card base.  I used more papers and layered up and added across the middle of the card base.

All the flowers came from the paperpad too, so i cut out lots of them and arranged around the lady and on the base.  Orangey gems to finish.

Showing the shape of the card from above, i was inspired by a beautiful card i was sent, i took a sheet of A4 white card and scored it 4 times in the middle and folded.  You can easily change the size depending on the size of the topper etc.  I used a corner punch on the outside edges.

Close up of the image.  I paper pieced her with plain papers from the pad, i added extra colour to the flowers with a alcohol pen.  Touches of glitter glue to the flower centres.

Items Used:
Stamps - Japanese Tea Garden freebie from Cardmaking & papercraft magazine
Kaisercraft paper pad 'cherry blossom'
Double stitched rectangle die set
Stickles diamond glitter glue
