Pack of huggable dogs

Good Morning everyone.

Today is a fun set of cards, they are very mini, i got the die set for childrens birthdays but as the arms fold in i thought they would make lovely little hug and get well cards.

Approx size 4x4"   I die cut all the elements from kraft card and coloured with alcohol markers. I folded a piece of kraft card in half and set the dog body die over the edge and cut so that i had a shaped cardbase, i attached the first kraft dog to the front of this base card and added all the little elements, so flat and some with glue gel for dimension.  I used a fab set of sentiment stamps from Clearly besotted which fit perfectly in the tummy area.  I folded the arms in gently along the score lines.
A close up of one little doggy

Showing it side on how the arms are coming forwards and they do fold all the way in to touch his tummy.

Items Used:
Critter hugger die set
Clearly besotted sentiment stamps 'mini calligraphy'
Kraft card
Alcohol markers

Giant Ladybird

 Good Morning Everyone

Today im sharing a fun card i made for my Niece Kitty-Bea's 2nd brithday.  She loves all her animals & creatures and never happier than when out about the farm with nature.  I used a gold mirror card that i had coloured with various red alcohol inks so it has a more marbled effect to the finish.  My giant ladybirds wings open to reveal the message.

approx A4 in size - so yep its giant😁. So i first die cut grand ovals - 2 black 1 red mirror.  From the red one i used circle dies to cut out the ladybird spots.  Adhered the red oval to a black oval and cut in half down the middle - this just made my wings more substantial for little hands playing with it and then the black underneath shows through the 'spots'..

I then die cut 2 circles & 4 tiny circles from black card for my head - for the antenna I sandwiched 3 layers of black card strips between 2 tiny circles to give it more strength.  Using the spare black oval i glued on the bigger circle for the head. I attached my antenna. I then added my wings with brads. I then glued on the second circle to the bottom.  Doing it this way just makes it tidier underneath to look at and hides the brads from little hands!

I die cut a 3rd black oval, scored an inch down to create a hinge and glued to the back of the card. Off this back piece i cut along the bottom edge to make it flat so that my ladybird could stand upright.

Opening up the wings i added my greeting using die cutting and scraps of card.  I added the number 2 too 2 of the spots too😃

this shows the wings opening

the wings fully open showing the die cut greeting, you can really see the colours of the alcohol inks on the gold mirror card here too.  Its amazing as you still get the mirror effect through the alcohol inks and you get a different tone with the alcohol inks if you start with silver mirror card rather than gold.

And finally this image shows side on how it stands up - much to my surprise it will even stand up nicely with the wings open.  This was one of those projects that had a life of its own and very much evolved as it went on.  It can simply be made smaller if you don't have the A4 grand dies and its all made from simple circle and oval dies.

Items used:
Spellbinders grand and standard circle and oval dies
Alphabet dies
Birthday sentiment die
Ranger Tim Holtz Alcohol inks
Gold mirri card
Payper box black card

Thank you all for stopping by once again.  I hope you are all doing ok and keeping safe.
A big thank you to all of you who are amazing in keeping our country going be it key workers, voluntering to help others and so many getting hands on -
you are all wonderful💖.  Hugs Emmax

Giant Cupcake Cards

Good Morning everyone.

Today im sharing cupcake shaped cards that ive made for my 2 oldest niece's birthdays. Ive combined pretty papers with lots of glitter card as both love their glitter - well what girl doesn't😁  As their birthdays are within 2 days of each other i tend to make them similar cards to stop arguements.

approx 6x6" in size(without the candle)  I first printed off a cupcake outline to make my own template. To first make my base card i placed the top of the cupcake template over the edge of my card blank and drew around it and cut out.  On another piece of white card i drew around the whole cupcake and attached patterned paper to the bottom half to act as the cupcake wrapper, i then wrapped some ribbon around the attached to the base card.  On another piece of card i drew around the frosting/icing top of the cupcake and cut out, i then dry embossed with embossing folder to add some texture, i added some die cut glitter circles as decoration.
I hand cut a candle and flame, attached to the base and added my icing on top.
I then computer printer my sentiment and die cut into a circle, and added a die cut number to one of the glitter circles.
Just showing it side on standing up.

This is the one i made for the older sister, i also added glitter glue to the flames on the candles.

Just showing them both together.  Who wouldn't love a giant cupcake on their birthday😋
