70th Birthday shutter card

Morning everyone.

Today im sharing a card my mum asked for for her friends 70th birthday, i decided to make a shutter card and teamed a splash of orange flowers with chocolate glitter card and chocolate mirri card, very Autumnal tones......I guess i also have a chocolate orange theme going on๐Ÿ˜‹

From a piece of A4 white card i die cut the tattered lace shutter card die and folded along the score lines.  I then cut the smaller layers from chocolate brown mirri card and then small again from a pretty floral paper and then glued them all to the base.
I then die cut lots of foliage and flowers from orange  inked card, brown glitter card, gold mirri card and various papers. I then arranged them on the base. Gold tone gems to finish the flowers off.

Showing from the right side, i computer printed the sentiment and die cut the number 70 from chocolate mirri card and added to the small sections.

Showing it opened out completely

Close up on my flowers. The orange ones were cut from card i inked with Oxide inks in Fozzilised Amber, Candied Apple, Spiced Marmelade

Items Used:
Tattered Lace shutter die set
Sizzix flower dies
Tim Holtz funky flower dies
Crafters companion foliage dies
Memory box number dies
Floral Patterned Paper
Jellybean glitter card
Chocolate & Gold Mirri card

Embossing

Good Morning everyone.

Don't the weeks fly by, its time for a new challenge over at Make My Monday
The theme this fortnight is

EMBOSSING

Heat Embossing or dry Embossing

Ive gone with dry embossing and dug out some old favourite embossing folders

5x7" white card blank.  I die cut panels from some white card and then embossed them with the leaf design, i then added green shades of inks.  Mounted onto silver mirror card and added to the card front.  I die cut the hello sunshine sentiment from silver mirri card and mounted onto a white wonky stitch circle and added to the card front with 3D foam tape.

I inked white card with orange, terracotta & red inks and die cut into flowers,  I have then debossed them with a swiss dots embossing folder.  I layered them up with some dark green foliage around the sentiment.  Yellow enamel drops for the flower centres to finish.

Just a close up, sorry for the dark photos they were taken way back in all that rain.

Items used:
Sizzix foliage embossing folder
Cuttlebug swiss dots embossing folder
Sizzix flower die
Foliage die
Die-namics stitched panel dies
Sunshine sentiment - had it years i think it was die-namics
Spectrum Noir Aquatints

So please do hop over to Make My Monday to join in with your embossed creations.

Thank you for stopping by, i hope you all have a good week. Emma

Easter Bunnies

Good Morning all, i hope you had a good weekend.

Easter will soon be here now, this year seems to be flying so far.

6x6 green cardblank, i die cut the foliage from the same green which is much brighter than the photo shows, i layered up several of the branches to get the wreath.  Little 'primroses' die cut from yellow card, inked the centre and pearls added to match my bunny.  The bunny was cut from card coloured with oxide inks.

Sentiment stamped in green archival.

A close up on the wreath.

and below i made little tags for my nieces

I first die cut a fishtail banner, glued on a die cut sentiment and then i embossed it.  Little die cut bunny rabbits in various colours, i then mounted them onto matching coloured card.  Ribbon to finish.

The same as above but just in a large tag shape.  3 are made in the girls favourite colours, of course little baby not got a fav colour yet and she's obviously not getting a chocolate egg from her aunt, ive got her a little something else! She is growing fast, nearly 1 month old now.

Items used:
Impression Obsession Easter die
Rabbit die
Foliage die
Sizzix flower dies
Justrite sentiment stamps
Sunrays, puff ball, leaves, birds embossing folders

Floral Birthday Stepper cards

Good Morning everyone

So today i am sharing a set of floral birthday stepper cards, made using LOTV art pad images and hand made flowers.

Ive used happy birthday printed cardstock on them all from Ann-Marie, I also decoupaged the images and added glossy accents to the vases and touches of glitter glue.

Little primroses to go with the primroses in the little vases, made using yellow cardstock and orange ink pad, yellow gem centres.

Hellobore made with a simple die cut flower, i rounded the petals on a foam mat and added green stamens, dots using a coloured pen.

This is using the same flower die i used for the hellobore but ive shaped it slightly differently, white stamens to pick up on the peonie in the image.

These sweet peas i had left over from making a project last year, knew they would come in handy one day, made using sizzix susans garden sweet pea die set.  Link at the bottom if you would like to see the sweetpea project i made before

And last but not lease butterflies, i also used a chocolate pearl embossed cardstock on this one, which matched the basket in the image well.

Items used:
Presscut stepper card die
LOTV art pad images
Sizzix butterfly dies 659971
Sizzix flower dies (primrose) 658602
Sizzix susans garden sweetpea die set
Spellbinders romantic vines

Floral shutter cards

Good Morning all.
Sorry I missed Saturdays upload, was down with a major migraine and then we lost electricity so made for a weekend best spent under the covers๐Ÿ˜ž

So today im sharing 3 shutter cards ive made, all flower power as its always one of my favourite to make.   I was sent the shutter card blanks from a good friend and the mats, so the fun was finding stuff in my own stash to go with them.

Navy card blank, beautiful navy and blue pattern paper from poundland, matted onto kraft card.  I found the peach/salmon paper in my stash which seemed to go well and brighten up the colour.  Die cut with Sue Wilson cornflower dies, i inked the edges, glued together and once dry fluffed up the petals to add dimension.  Tattered lace fern cut in pale blue card. Gem centres to finish.

close up of the flowers

So for this one, grey cardblank and the lovely grey/orange/turquoise check paper came with them, flowers die cut from various matching paper and white card, sizzix dies, little butterflies, grey pearl card used for the foliage.

Close up

Get well shutter.  So for this one the purple card was in the box and i found the pink pattern paper in my stash which matched well and toned in, matted onto white to break up the colour.  Flowers cut in white and inked with blue, blue pearl centres. Butterflies.  Foliage cut in mint green which matches the background of the paper.

Close up.
