Thank you

Good Morning everyone.

Today im sharing thank you cards i made to send to the lovely people who sent me a birthday gift

5x5" kraft card base.  I was given this fab aall&create frog stamp set so this is his first outing.  I dug out a gelli print background and layered onto my base card after adding some pond weed at the bottom with a stencil and oxide ink.  I stamped the frog onto a piece that was used as clear up in my gelli printing and is orange and pink neon acrylic paint.  I added some white pen details and glued to the base. I added a few pearls to finish.

Frog version 2.  5.5x5.5" white base card.  Another gelli print background in pinks & lilacs.

Items Used:
aall&create stamps 'ribbet ribbet'
lavinia stamps stencil 'pebble'
Triangular stencil
Pebeo acrylic paints
Daler rowney neon paint

and now something totally different, i was given this beautiful lace embossing folder which i have had on my wish list for quite a while

A5 size.  My friends fav colour is purple so i found this lovely patterned paper in a 12x12 pad from the works.  I dug out a soft grey pearl cardstock for my base and to emboss, lightly inking the embossing with seedless preserves oxide ink. I cut a panel of the paper smaller than my base card and bigger than the embossed panel and die cut the thankyou die from the middle - this would be hidden, it just makes the paper go further!  I added both the paper and embossed panel to the base card offset so that you could see the paper.

On an offcut of the grey pearl card i die cut thank you again and coloured it purple, i used this for a drop shadow on the paper thank you version and glued to the middle of the embossed panel.  From some of the patterned paper i cut out some of the flowers and arranged on the front.  Gold glitter glue accents to finish.

and version 2, a more tropical vibe, i used cream pearl this time, the photos don't show but embossing the pearl cardstock gives a lovely shimmer as the light hits the different levels in the embossing.

Items Used:
Paper pad from the works 'watercolour feeling'
Cheerynlynn thank you die
Crafters companion 3D embossing folder 'ornate lace'
Rangers stickles fruit punch, gold

Thank you all for stopping by once again.  I hope you all have a good day.  Hugs Emmax

Fantastic Mr Fox

 Good Morning everyone

Today im sharing another card made with 2 of the stamps from the aall&create 'in the wild' stamp set, teamed up with one of my gelli print backgrounds.  This is the last one i made in the batch with these stamps, its a bit more girly with more pink, orange & gold for a lovely craft friend.

8x8" white cardbase.  I cut a smaller frame from white card and my grand circle dies and a mount/mat layer a s a smaller circle from chocolate brown cardstock, i went with brown as id stamped the images in dark brown.

I took my gelli print background and stamped the fox where i wanted it and then mounted the background behind my frame with foam tape and added to the base.  I stamped the fox again onto white paper and a piece of paper id cleaned my brayer on while doing a batch of gelli backgrounds so it had soft pink and orange tones. I then fussy cut the coloured flowers and the white fox and glued flat onto the base image, having the flowers overhanging the frame.  I stamped and added another flower to the top right and a butterfly from the stamp set stamped on white and added with glue gel.

After finishing the white frame felt too stark so i added a little stencilling with the pink & orange paints used on the flowers to tie it in. Glossy accents added to the foxes glasses and nose to finish.
Trying to show the shimmer of the gold paint i used on the gelli print.  I used a 6" round gelli plate and various stencils with green & blue acrylic paint for the base, it also picked up a light hint of pink and orange id used on a previous print so that also ties in with the colours on the flowers.  I used the gold paint through a flower stencil.

Items Used:
aall&create stamps 'in the wild'
6" round gelli art plate
Various stencils, lavinia, thats crafty
Pebeo & daleryrowney acrylic paint
Decoart gold paint
CraftUK ltd white cardstock
Brown cardstock
Spellbinders Grand circle dies

Daffodils

Good Morning everyone

Today im sharing my spring daffodil cards i made using backgrounds i made on the gelli plate and a lovely verse stamp from clearly besotted which says 'the first blooms of spring always make my heart sing' which is so true to me.  I think spring is my fav time of year, we are surrounded by nature waking up with the trees in bud and flowers beginning to bloom and the lambs in the fields and birds nesting.

White linen card base approx size 5x7" cut using crealies arch dies.  I also die cut a frame arch frame and added foam tape around it and mounted on my cardbase.  I then die cut my gelli print background and adhered into the frame.  I die cut the daffodil die from scrap white card and coloured with alcohol markers, adding a little detail with white posca pen.  I glue the daffodils in place with glue gel.  Stamped sentiment cut into a strip and yellow enamel dots to finish.

For the gelli plate backgrounds i used an oval plate and acrylic paints  in shades of green with a stencil which i thought had the look of a patchwork of fields in the background.  I added a touch of orange paint through a script stencil in places just for interest and to pick up on the orange in the daffodils.

Version 2 using the same stencils

and version 3 is a bit more detailed.  I built up the layers on the mono print with my oval gelli plate using 2 different circle burst stencils and paints in hues of yellow, orange & green.

I made my base card with white linen card and spellbinders grand labels 4 dies, i die cut a smaller frame and then my background with a smaller label 4 die to slot into the frame.  I added my die cut daffodils to the middle and embellished with small yellow buttons.  Stamped verse to finish.

Just a close up and you can see the layers more in my gelli print

Just to show how i made my card base for this shaped card, i die cut grand label 4 die the same size as the card front, folded it in half and attached to form an easel effect, just trimming the back bottom edge flat to help it stand up.

Version 2 - this gelli print has a real patchwork look to it.  Im beginning to get the hang of lining up the print to the gelli plate for each layer now to give a cleaner edge, i still never know what effect the end result will be so its always a surprise and very random.

Items Used:
Lavinia oval gelli plate
Daffodil die
Crealies arch dies
Spellbinders grand labels4 die
Clearly besotted stamps 'seasonal sentiments'
Various stencils
Acylic paints
Alcohol markers
white posca pen
Altenew yellow enamel dots
yellow buttons

Thank you all for stopping by once again.  Hugs Emmaxxx

Rabbit in flowers

Good Morning everyone

Another card using one of my recent gelli plate backgrounds and the rabbit stamp from the aall&create in the wild stamp set

approx 8x8" size.  I made my base card using kraft card and spellbinders grand labels1 dies, i die cut a smaller one and die cut the middle using a grand circle die to make a frame and used a swirly embossing folder on it - using the debossed side.  I stamped the rabbit onto the gelli print with dark brown ink and stamped it again onto white paper.  I added the gelli print to the card base and added my kraft frame over the top with foam tape.

I added a hint of colour to the leaves & flowers on the white stamped versions and cut them out.  I glued a full version to the image stamped on my gelli plate and then cut out extra flowers to extend my image which i adhered with glue gel so that they over hang the frame.  I then added a bit of a shadow with grey alcohol markers.  To finish i added clear wink of stella pen to my flowers so them shimmer in the light.

Just  a close up, i have touches of gold in my gelli print background that also shimmers in the light.

Items Used:
aall&create stamps - 'in the wild' #529
Spellbinders dies grand circles & grand labels 1
6" round gelli plate
Lavinia stencil - 'pods'
Floral stencil
Acrylic paints
Kuretake wink of stella pen - 'clear'
Alcohol markers

Thank you all for stopping by.  I hope its a good week for you all. Hugs Emmaxx

Floral card

Good Morning everyone

As my mojo finally came back i had a good gelli plate session, its many months since i last dug it out, so have plenty of backgrounds to play with now.  One of them ive used here as a background to some aall&create stamps that were a Christmas present.

I did a gelli print using various stencils and paints using a 6" round gelli plate, im now getting better at overlaying so that it lines up each time.

I used spellbinders grand labels 1 and white and black card to make my card base and frame. I die cut my background to fit and added the frame over the top with foam tape after id stamped the 2 florals stamps.  I then added the frame over the top and attched to another spellbinders labels 1 die cut to make the back of the card.

I stamped the flowers again on white card and watercoloured, picking up on some of the soft orange and pink in the gelli background.  Cut them out and decoupaged onto the base with glue gel.  Touches of glitter glue added to the flower centres.

Here you can see some of the detail in the gelli print better, i also used some metallic gold that really shines when the light catches it.

Items Used:
6" round gelli plate
aall&create stamps - In the wild #529
Spelllbinders grand labels 1
Lavinia stencil 'pods'
Floral stencil
Paperartsy & Daler-Rowney acrylic paints
Watercolour markers
Ranger stickles - diamond

Thank you all for stopping by.  Im hoping for a quiet uneventful week.  I hope its a good week for you all.  Hugs Emmaxxx

Pop Art Tulips

Good Morning everyone, i hope you had a good weekend.

Today im sharing a couple of cards made with some of my gelli print backgrounds, teamed up with crafty individual floral stamps, including these spring tulips.  Afterwards i thought they looks a bit like pop art with the bright bold colours.

White Card 8x5"   I first stamped the tulip stamp onto 3 different backgrounds and cut around the outside edge giving me the rectangles.  I then stamped the tulips again on the same inky papers and cut out just the tulip heads which i paper pieced them onto the base images, i coloured the tulip stems with a green alcohol marker.  I matted them onto black card and then my base card with foam tape.

From the gelli print off cuts i managed to get 2 smalls stripes of paper which i matted onto black card and then across the bottom of the card.  My stamped greeting then hides the join. Black gems to finish.

5x6" white card. This is made pretty much the same way, but without paper piecing the flower heads, i just added a little white pen to the them

Using the second flower in this stamp set.

Items Used:
Crafty Individual stamps - CI-185 & CI-388
Katzelkraft quote stamps
Gelli plate
Actylic paints - daley rowney neons, pink ink purple & green pearl
Black & White cardstock
Gel gel pen

Thank you all for stopping by once again.  I hope its a good week for you.  Hugs Emmaxx

Playing with Gelli

Good Morning everyone

For Christmas i was given a Gelli plate which hadn't really been on my to try list but ive been having a little play with it and acrylic paints - still alot of practising to do but ive made a few prints that ive used on these cards, after making the cards i thought i should have taken a photo of the prints first so ive taken photos of the rest of them - see end of post.

5x7" card.  I made this one for my sis in law who's had to have an operation.  This print was neon acrylics in pink and orange, a die cut leaf, punchinella and a stamp. I stamped over the top with this lovely woodware stamp in black, die cut to size with a stitched rectangle die & then die cut a stitched rectangle from the middle at an angle, mounted onto black card, adding the middle panel with foam tape - just to add more interest to the design.
For the background i used a swirl embossing folder, the little coloured strips were off cuts and not wanting to waste them i added them behind my topper panel.  Stamped sentiment to finish..

Version 2 - this print was green pearl paint with a touch of yellow paint and a clarity stamp stencil for just a basic print.  The flower heads i stamped onto a scrap of orange paper and paper pieced.

Version 3 i used one stencil and turned it 3 times with a different colour - pink, orange, yellow neon and green pearl acrylic paints

Version 4 another woodware stamp, print used neon orange, yellow and pink paint. 5x7 white card, i stamped the greeting direct onto the base, matted the topper onto black card and then the base card.

Items Used:
Woodware stamps  wild meadow, lino cut teasels
Sentiment stamps
Double stitched rectangle dies
A4 Swirl embossing folder

Id love to enter the first card into the following:

and onto some of my other prints - some im happy with, others will be a base to work on or cut into, im beginning to get a feel for it and not to add too much paint and Ive found the quality of paint makes a big difference.  Lots more practice to be had......

Using feather & circle rubber stamps, punchinella. Neon pink, orange & pearl purple acrylic paints

clarity leaf & leafy swirl stencils, die cut pointsettias(bottom left), diamond stencil, tim holtz media stamps.  Daler rowney Neon pink, orange, yellow & green paint, deco-art copper metallic paint

lattice and leafy stencils, red, yellow & neon orange paint

This photo shows 3 prints from one, so the first one is the one i was working on, the 2nd one clearing the plate and the 3rd one was the piece i cleaned the brayer & stencils onto. Circle stencil & red & yellow paints

Pebeo yellow and green with a hint of daler rowney orange neon paint. Triangle & lavinia pebble stencils.
