Robs birthday

Good Morning everyone

Its mid month so time for some more inspiration for we love stamping where the optional theme this month is 'hand coloured image'

I made this otter rocker card for my brothers birthday this month.

Approx size 8x8" I coloured the pink ink otter stamp with inktense pencils and cut out, along with the extra fish.  I found this fab water/river scene in a 12x12 paper pad from the works which went perfectly with my image, which i die cut into a circle and layered onto a larger ivory card circle.  For my base i took the largest circle die and die cut from both ivory and printed paper, i matted the paper circle onto the ivory one and folded in half to give me the rocker card base.  I inked the paper edges with faded jeans distress ink

I added the otter with 2 wobblers, i tried one but he is quite large and a odd shape so two supported him better and still wobbled as the card rocks.  I cut some extra rocks from the paper and added with glue gel for some dimension so it looks like the otter is nestled in them as he enjoys his birthday fish.

Stamped sentiment to finish.

He really is a happy chappy - otters are one thing i haven't seen in the wild - very elusive and sensible i think!

Just showing it side on, the dimension the wobblers give

and the 2nd card i made for my brother, I had this pre coloured pheasant in my stash which i coloured years ago now so about time i used it - it is another pink ink stamp
Approx size A5  I took a piece of patterned paper which has a soft leafy print on it, stamped the sentiment and i then over stamped with feathers and an ombre ink pad.  I made my card blank using nesting dies and kraft card and also cut a kraft card frame.  I attached the paper to the front and then the frame with 2mm foam tape.  I then added the pheasant with glue gel so he is just tucked into the frame.

Mr pheasant was coloured with inktense pencils.  Mum chose this card to give my brother, they do have a lot of pheasants and a couple usually visit my mums bird feeding area daily too

Pink Ink Designs 'otter nonsense' & 'magnipheasant' stamps

Spellbinders grand circle dies
12x12 make & create paper pad from the works 'travel the world'

Fruity girls

Good Morning all

My 2nd card for Charlotte's 5th birthday is this fruity rocker card.  We are all fruit bats in my family and eat a wide variety daily so when i saw this fruit background and lemon girl from aall&create in a sale I thought they would be ideal.

approx 6x6" I made my rocker card from dark green card - i know it looks black in the photos but it definately green!  I worked out what size circles i wanted for the little girl and then die cut circles from the green card & my coloured background(see below)  I adhered them together and added a small white circle to the middle to help my little lemon cutie stand out.   She was stamped and watercoloured with inktense pencils and cut out.  I added her to the front with a wobbler so as the card rocks she also dances which i think Charlotte will love.

I die cut number 5 from white, an inverted scallop from the green and a larger plain circle from white and adhered together.  I added glitter over the 5 and a little glitter on the lemon flower in her hair too.

Showing it side on, the wobbler gives quite alot of dimension too

My background,- the first mistamp (top right) is because i was too lazy to prime the stamp!  I multiple stamped the A7 stamp onto white A4 cardstock, rotating the stamp each time and then watercoloured with inktense pencils - i don't find colouring in particularly relaxing so this was a bit of a labour of love - keeping inside the lines😁  I did 2 A4 backgrounds like this so could make the batch of cards below.

I decided to turn the little lemon girl into an orange girl and a lime slice girl just by changing the colours to make these 3 cards.  Again the photos aren't great as I used very dark green card for my base and mat layers rather than the black it looks like in the photos.

Approx size A6 (6x4")  I die cut my base card from green card and a smaller mat layer from my fruity background.  I die cut a small white layer big enough for my little fruity gals and another mat from the dark green and adhered together.  I added the girls on with a wobbler for a bit of fun and dimension.   A small dab of stickles glitter glue on the flower to finish.  I made all 3 like this, just changed the colour of the fruit slice.

Showing how they stand up side on and the dimension the wobbler gives

and lastly I just had to use all the off cuts from the 2 background sheets

6x7" card  I die cut the off cuts from the background using a small nesting die from a DL die set with a stitched edge, i layered these onto dark green cardstock leaving equal gaps and then mounted onto a white base card.

I took an oval die big enough for 3 girls and cut a white oval which i then used an embossing folder on, matted onto a larger green oval and then the cardfront.  I then added the 3 girls, the outside 2 with glue gel and the middle one with another wobbler.
Just a close up of the fruity trio.  As you can tell i had great fun with this little stamp set, something a bit different for me which as been refreshing - good to get away from the animals and flowers now and then.

Happy 2nd Birthday Alice

Good Morning all.

So today is my niece's 2nd birthday, where did that time go?  As for all family birthdays i make 2 cards, one from my parents as well, so im sharing both cards today.

Unicorn Rocker card.  I die cut various circles using spellbinders grand circle dies.  I then cloud embossed 2 layers and inked them up so that the clouds show up.  I then die cut the sun and rainbow from white card and watercoloured them.  I added touches of pink to the unicorn and layered her up on the card with some clouds.  Computer printed 2 today.

Close up, i added glitter to the sun and unicorn.  I was sent the unicorn die cut by a friend.

Just showing it stood up.

and below showing the second card i made, I always try to make the 2 completely different, not always easy.

6x6 cardblank.  I first die cut the fox from orange, white and brown cardstock and made him up.  Die cut trees from silver glitter card and added a shadow with brown cardstock, matted onto pale blue paper, orange and silver glitter card.  A scrap of brusho card die cut into a curve for him to sit on. Computer printed sentiment.

Just a close up of the fox.

Items used:
Sizzix fox die
Curved border die
MFT rainbow and sun die set
Cloud die set
Spellbinders grand & fancy circle die sets
Crafters companion cloud embossing folder

Polar Bear Rocker Cards

Good Morning all, welcome to December, where did this year go?  White frost out so i think i will share some frosty Christmas cards today.  Some of you have been lucky enough to have had a sneak peek at these Christmas Rocker Cards.

Spellbinders grand circles, tattered lace polar bear die, spellbinder curved borders for the snow mound!  Brusho's for the background/sky, touches of glitter glue to highlight the snow.  I used Serif craft artist to make the sentiment banner.  I love how you never get the same background twice using the brusho's, i also used them for the mat layer on the base to tie it all in together.

Now i wonder what a group of Polar bears is called?

Thank you for  taking a peek.  Emma x
