Make My Monday #55 - Autumn Colours

Good Morning Everyone, i hope you had a good weekend.

So once again its time for a new challenge at Make My Monday

The theme this fortnight is

AUTUMN COLOURS

This theme tied in perfectly for the second card i made for my brothers birthday.  He loves his nature so an ideal theme.

6x5.5" Russet cardblank, i also used the russet for matting as it perfectly picked out the colour in the tree patterned paper i went with.  After gluing the paper to the card base i die cut a frame and added on 3d foam.  I die cut lots of little leaves in autumn colours and arranged them around a stamped greeting.

Close up and showing 3 little chipboard birdies i added to finish.

Items used:
Carta Bella 'A perfect Autumn' paper pad
Memory box Cross Stitch rectangle dies
Mama Elephant frame die
Spellbinders 'little leafs' die set
Stampin up 'sassy salutations'
Calico Crafts woodchip birds

So if you fancy joining in and seeing what the rest of the design team came up with and lovely crafters entries do pop over

Thank you for stopping by and i hope you all have a wonderful week. Emma

Floral Thank you cards

Good Morning all, i hope its not too windy where you are.

More thank you cards i made after my birthday.

The first ones using the rose die but this time i cut it straight into the card front, and added a pattern paper insert to show through.

5x7 white cardblank.  Rose die cut direct into the front, then i cut a frame from co-ordinating colour cardstock.  Stamped greeting die cut into an oval and a matching butterfly.

Another 2 versions

Showing how it looks side on and the insert

4th version, completely flat for posting

and onto a couple of little cards

4x4 little cards, i first die cut the one flower into the blank to create an aperture, then cut the overlay in a contrasting colour.  Cut 2 more flowers and layered up.  Stamped Greeting.  I add a peachy insert to show through the aperture.

Just showing it open and the aperture

The same but different colour combo.

Highland Herd Birthday

Good Morning everyone and welcome to another new week, boy do they fly by!

So today i am sharing the first card i made for my brothers birthday.  Some of you know that as a dairy farmer he likes to work with rare breeds and some of the older breeds, they produce less milk but higher quality ideal for Cornish Clotted Cream.

Although not rare he does have a couple of highland cows in his herd.  Its always difficult to keep coming up with different ideas for the men in my family but found this lovely highland cow stamp by sheena, lots of masking and we get a herd of highlands!

8x8 card blank, image all matted onto chocolate brown cardstock.  Computer printed sentiment.

I first stamped the front highland cow, then masked with pebeo drawing gum, then stamped the 2 behind and then masked them and kept going until filled the page.  I used lighter inks on the back cows, i used colorbox chalk inks to stamp them all.  I then carefully removed the drawing gum and added a little definition using inktense pencils.

Just a close up.  Although its a pretty simple card it was time consuming.

Items used:
Sheena Douglass 'Highland Dinner' stamp
Colorbox chalk inks
Derwent Inktense pencils
Pebeo drawing gum

Poppy Birthday

Good Morning all, i hope you are having a good week.

So today i am sharing 2 poppy birthday cards, i again used my wink of stella pens, these are my new fav for colouring in images, the sparkle is amazing and they are so easy to use.

Chocolate Baroque poppy stamp.  I stamped the image twice and cut out the 2nd one and decoupaged onto the first one.  Sue wilson noble dies used for the card, i die cut the frame and mounted on foam pads onto dark green cardstock.  Stamped sentiment die cut with fishtail banners.  I used a fineliner pen to faux stitch around the outside edge.

Close up, you can just about make out the sparkle of the wink of stella pens.  I also added some ink splats to the background to add some interest.

A5 cardblank.  I again stamped the poppy twice and cut the flower heads out to decoupage.  Spellbinders embossing folder, all mounted onto dark green cardstock.  I wrapped with ribbon and added a little butterfly charm.

Make My Monday #54 - childrens birthday

Good Morning all and welcome to a new week.  I hope you had better weather than we did down here.

Its time again for a new challenge over at Make My Monday

the theme this fortnight is

FOR A CHILD

So i made this card for a 8 year old boy who is meerkat mad.

A5 white cardblank.  Meercat topper printed using serif, using a digikit, i printed him out twice and cut out the 2nd one and decoupaged him.  Die cut using ovals and matted onto a reddy brown cardstock picking up the colour in the meerkat.  I found a co-ordinating paper in my stash, wrapped with bakers twine and added doodled stitched borders.

Die cut party time letters and added glossy accents. Faux white enamel dots using a hole punch and glossy accents, i just felt it needed something and didn't think gems would be appreciate by a 8yr old boy! lol

Just a close up of the meekcat, i also added glossy accents to his party hat

Items used:
Daisytrail 'Wild Love'
Papers - Papermania Mr Smiths workshop
Memory box alpha dies
Creative expressions bakers twine
Spellbinders grand oval dies

Everyone is welcome to join in the challenges so please do pop over to Make My Monday for more details and see what the rest of the team came up with.
