Robot Birthday

Good Morning everyone, i hope you had a good weekend.

Today im sharing a card i made for one of my brother's birthdays, being an engineer he is more into machines than animals so i went with this robot theme, dug out some rusty metal effect papers and my hexagon dies picking up on the shape of 'nuts' as in 'nuts & bolts'😁

Card size approx 7x7".  I first die cut my 'nuts' from a paper pack that has lots of different rusted metal effects, i used a hexagon on the outside and small circle die on the inside.  I embossed a piece of silver holographic mirror card with a cog embossing folder.  I arranged my nuts on this, matted onto a strip of black card and then across the middle of a white die cut hexagon. I mounted this onto black card then a white card blank, cutting to the hexagon shape.
I die cut my robot from white cardstock, doodled around thes edge with black pen and coloured him with grey alcohol markers.  I added more of the silver holographic behind him to shine through his eyes and holes in his body😀.  I die cut a white circle, silver circle and blue paper circle, attached my black die cut sentiment circle and added the robot in the middle.
Die cut screw heads from scraps of the metal effect paper added in the corners to finish.

A close up on the robot.

Items Used:
Robot die
MFT birthday sentiment circle die
Spellbinders circle dies
Stitched hexagon dies
Spellbinders nuts and bolts die
Metal effect papers (lost the front page with brand name)
Papermania cog embossing folder
Silver rainbow holographic card
Black cardstock - payper box
White linen cardstock - craftUk ltd
Blue grey alcohol markers

Thank you for all stopping by once again.  I hope you have a good week. Emma

What a fantastic theme for your brother Emma, love how you have used the hexagon shape as looking at it could acted as a big bolt, the papers and dies are perfect and I am sure he will love it .
