Good Morning everyone.
Todays set of Chrismtas cards is using the Katzelkraft bird stamps which when using them before i thought the round shape is ideal for a British Robin. Ive teamed them up with silver foiled acetate and a patterned paper insert. Its a DL card and to make my expensive foiled acetate go further ive just used it on the front of my card and cardstock on the back so ive made a side opening design.
Approx size: 4x8" I first stamped the birds onto white cardstock and water coloured with distress inks and cut out.
I cut a piece of A4 acetate in half lengthways - thus making enough for 2 cards, i scored about 1cm in on the left side, folded and glued that tab to a piece of white cardstock, this formed my base card. I made an insert using festive 12x12 patterned paper - on this first card its a pine branch print paper and a snowy tree foiled acetate. I tore white cardstock, stamped the greeting and attached to the bottom of the card to give the appearance of snow and then arranged my birds to finish.
I doodled in some ground for the birds using a fine liner pen and grey alcohol marker, i added glossy accents to their eyes too, some glitter highlights to the sky and ground to finish. Sadly the photos don't really show up the really shiny silver foiled design on the acetate - its trees and mountains
Version 2 - you can;t really see the acetate design clearly but its silver foiled trees and mountains so i added a blue snowflake paper as the insert and added some white pen falling snow to the front of the acetate.
Version 3 Snowflake foiled acetate and a snowfall paper insert.
Showing how the acetate is free from the insert to add more interest
