Bee Awesome

Good Morning everyone, i hope you had a good weekend.

Top of my birthday list was this Beeutiful bee stamp set from Pink Ink - so this is its first outing, ive teemed it with my hexagon dies and made an acetate front card.  A card for a friendship swap.

size approx 8x8". I first scored a 1" strip down the short side of a piece of A4 white cardstock and attached a sheet of acetate to this scored flap.  This gave me the start of my card with an acetate front.  To cut it to the hexagon shape as my dies aren't big enough i die cut the largest hexagon die and using re-positional adhesive attached to my cardfront and then cut around it with my guillotine leaving a border...then removed the card hexagon.

I then stamped some of the hexagon stamps from the stamp set onto the acetate front in black - i def need a new ink pad or refil..  I then die cut a white hexagon frame and added 2mm foam tape to the back and attached to the acetate front. i found a piece of paper in my stash with yellow hexagons on it so i attached this to the inside of my card facing out so it shows through the acetate and hides the adhesive.
For the insert i took a piece of yellow/orange paper and stamped some of the hexagons onto it using the inks i coloured my bees with.
I stamped my bees on white card and coloured with distress inks and cut out.  The wings are stamped onto vellum and cut out.  I gently shaped the bees and attached to the card front with glue gel.  Stamped words to finish.

Side on, you can see the stamping on my acetate better here and the insert.

Close up of the amazing bee.  The vellum i used for the wings has a pearlised pattern - eons old.

Items Used:
Pink Ink Bee-utiful stamp set
Stitched hexagon dies
Hunkydory acetate
MME wildflowers & follow your heart paper pads
Distress inks Lemonade, ripe persimmon, black soot
Papermania patterned vellum

Thank you all for stopping by once again.  I hope you all have a good week.  Hugs Emmax

I'm totally bias in saying I absolutely LOVE this 'awesome' creation as I was lucky enough to receive a similar but slightly different version ... thank you Emma! The main bee is 'big' and a real statement image ... just fabulous! Steph x
