Coneflower

Size 6.5x3".   I got this fab tonic studios cone flower die in a sale, for its first outing i decided to make a couple of small thank you cards that I needed.  I dug through my backgrounds and found this lovely piece which id made with brusho powders & pixie powders so it  has a lovely shimmer from which i die cut the mat layer for the flowers.

I die cut the flower panels from black card - ideal for using up little scraps & snippets. I adhered these to the base panel and then die cut the flowers again from a pale peach paper again from my snippets drawer and inlaid these into the black outline.  I raided my snippets and found a small piece of copper satin card which was perfect to die cut the thank you from.

I die cut the base layer twice from more black cardstock, i adhered one to the back of the green panel offset to give a shadow which helped it to stand out. The 2nd one i score half inch from the top edge, folded and adhered that top flap to the back of the card front to make my shaped stand up card.

Sadly the photo doesn't show the amazing shimmer from the pixie powders or the copper satin i used for the sentiment.

this shows how i made the card back and it stands up, I lined the inside with white so easy to write my greeting.

Items Used:
Tonic Studios die set 'coneflower floral split strips' #4800e
Spellbinders thank you die
Brusho powders 'sea green & turquoise'
Cosmic shimmer pixie powders 'peacock & copper'
Black cardstock

Thank you for stopping by, i hope you enjoy your sunday and have a great week ahead. Emma
