Snowman Dome

Good Morning everyone, i hope you are having a good week.

Today im sharing a little fun Christmas decoration ive made as a gift for a friend.  Ive teemed a stamped snowman with lots of faux snow and little coloured microlights.

My plastic dome is approx 5x3" in size.  It comes with the plastic dome, wooden base that the dome slots into and also a seperate wood circle that sits inside to add our items too.  So on this seperate wood circle i first painted it white and then built up some snow with texture paste & sprinkled in glitter and little polysterene balls while it was wet, once dry the paste holds all the loose bits in place.
I splashed white acrylic paint inside the dome to give the effect of falling snow.
I then stamped my snowman out twice, i coloured him in with alcohol markers, the first one i completely fussy cut out, on the second one i just cut out the scarf and hat which i decoupaged on top of the first one. I added some glossy accents and glitter glue to finish.

Showing the lights on, these battery powered micro lights are very effective - i found them in poundland.  The base of the dome is wood so i gave it a light wash of white paint.

Just a close up on snowman, you can really see the snow in this one.  I great fun making this, something a little different but also fairly quick to make.

Items Used
Paperartsy Zinskiart stamps 'ZA19' Totem Christmas
Plastic dome (local craft shop)
Golden texture paste
Mini polysterence snowballs (poundland)
Micro lights (poundland)
White acrylic paint
Glitter
Glossy Accents
Alcohol markers

Thank you all for visiting once again.  I hope you are all having a good week. Emmax
